  1. for a tourny i try to get to the course about an hpur and a half before my tee time. first i stretch a little bit and try to get my back loose. then i will practice putting for about 20 minutes and then i will practice chipping to get a rythym going. then ill go to the rang and hit some 1/2 56* then a full 56*, then 8iron, 4iron, 3wood, driver, 2hybrid, 5iron, 9iron, then a couple of full 60* and then i pick a target about 50 yards out to hit to. then ill go hit some bunker shots and practice a variety of chips then ill go put for another 20 minutes. then ill go into the club house and rest for a few minustes and maybe get something to eat to refuel. then before i tee off ill putt around for a few more minutes and then go to the tee about 5 minutes before my tee time. (usually while im practicing i will listen to my ipod and then after i putt for a while ill cut my ipod off so i can hear the contact better).
  2. Well i cant speak for a 26 but i can get my 6iron to spin back about a foot or two and my 5 will take a hop and stop and maybe roll out a few inches.
  3. naa scratch the one before!! Gulbis is better lookin than creamer but there are still more out there that are wayy better lookin that either one of them!
  4. between the two i would say Paula but Lorena Ochoa is better than the both of them which is why shes number 1.
  5. i know how ya feel cause for the past month and a half i have been playin the worst ive ever played in over a year but im still playin in tournaments and stuff. but if you give up now ull regret it later and just because you hit the ball thin or fat doesnt mean you have to quit. it just means that you have to practice some more until you get it right. but first in my opinion i would say take a week or so off then start practicing again but it takes a long time to get good at this game. i would know cause i didnt even start making any progress until about a year or so after i started and ive been playin for a bout 5 or 6 years now and i still have bad weeks or months like everyone else does. but once again dont give up just try even harder and break through!!
  6. Yea whats with all the mizuno irons? ive tried to hit a few of my buddies mizunos and hit them terrible. i play TM mb tp smoke irons. theyre awesome and are just soft when you hit them right. and when it comes to spin...put it this way i hit a 6 iron on a par 5 one day and it spun back a few feet and a P wedge will just suck right back. but you couldnt go wrong with the r7 tps either they feel good too. good luck!! :)
  7. hitting a different ball can affect sound. depending on the change in sound the grip can be dampening the vibrations or not even absorbing them and that can make it louder.
  8. it can be caused by many things. but when i start pulling the ball like i am now i go to the range and slow my swing down and make sure that i extend my arms on my follow through. sometimes widening your stance may help becuase it keeps your upper body from turning so quickly.
  9. im 15 and i play on my high school team. there is only one team no jv or varsity just one big happy family. lol. but ive been on the team since 7th grade and i really sucked then. but yea with a lot of practice and hard work your sone could be a great player for his team. im a sophmore and im the number one player on my team and i shoot around par. like we shot our best in a few years a 152 with me at 35, the others shot 36, 40, and 41. it was a relativey easy course but it is a real p.o.s. lol but it was a fun ride home with my other members and my buddy tryin to call our former number one who graduated last year to brag.. haha p.s. we never got ahold of the former number one. lol
  10. i choke up about an inch, inch and a half, it feels good and gives me better control that having my pinkie almost off the end of my club.
  11. ive demoed a tm r9 tp and non tp 13 degree and it felt awesome and now im looking for one to buy but i also tried a titleist 906f2 15.5 degree and it felt good to but the one fairway wood i didnt like was the new nike dymo. i hit it fine but it just didnt feel good, the driver felt good but the fw felt nothing like it, it was dead and just didnt have any feel to it. so i would highly recommend looking at a taylormade r9 and a titleist 906f2 or f4.
  12. well i have a titleist 585 17 degree hybrid. and i just love it. if you hit it pure it just feels awesome and even mishits dont fel that bad but you can still tell if you mishit it. but i will choke down on it alot to take some yards off it so i dont fly the green. but i think that if you choke down on it you still need to take a fullish swing. because when i choke down sometimes and i still dont swing hard it will come up about 10 yards short of were i want it to. but its an awesome club and i would highly recommend. and when i play with my dad he bothers me because hes always trying to find an excuse to hit it. lol.
  13. tiger does things for all races and hes not goin too focus on only one race. he is only 1/8 african american anyways so the most he can do for that race is just claim that he is part black. but these days anyways everyone sees either white or black and if they have both races in them then they are black but hes lucky because he can claim to be either white, black, american indian, thai, and i think theres one more race in him but i cant remember. but he does have a lot of charity programs and the tiger learning center so hes doing so much as it is right now and these people dont need to get selfish about it.
  14. there was a day when my driver was flying over the fairway. and ironicaly on the 18th hole i went to throw it again and on my back swing i hit my buddies driver and my driver shaft just snapped into. its ironic cause it didnt breakk from being thrown it broke by accident..lol but ever since then i have learned to control my anger and have yet to get as angry again.!!
  15. right now im waiting on my sc studio select newort 2 34" to get here. but the only clubs i am tryin to find a good price for is a tm burner tp fairway wood, titleist 585h 17 degree and a titleist vokey spin milled 56 and 60 degree wedges. i already have my tm tour burner tp driver and my tm tp mb smoke irons. im tryin to hurry and find some deals cause school golf has started and matches start in march. but i am not able to really swing yet sonce i had surgury at the beginning of january but i now have a little over a week before i can start to really play. so i am now searching ferociously.
  16. buy a lot of land and build a house on it. buy a nice truck. new golf clubs. join a nice golf course. and give some to charity and family.
  17. HUNTING. with a rifle, bow, shotgun, etc. usually all i do is deer and duck hunt during the off season and i might go turkey hunting a few times. but if hunting season its not in i like to go FISHING. and ill play some FOOTBALL and BASEBALL.and i try to work out too like running, lifting weights. etc. just a lost of weight and strength training mostly.
  18. i find that if uput the ball a little back in your stance and put most of your weight on your left foot it helps with hitting the ball nice and crisp. but the swing is really made with your arms.
  19. i usually just take extra club and move the ball a little back in my stance and just take a nice easy smooth swing and hold off a little on turning the club head over.
  20. Wheni started playing i had a baseball grip but after a few lessons i started using an interlocking grip. i used it for a good while but when i started hit the ball bad and the club slipping in my hand i started to expreiment with the overlapping grip. i find that it gives me a more stable hold and better grip on the club. it doesnt hurt my pinky at all like it does with other people. i have tried the interlocking again but didnt seem to work at all so im sticking with the overlapping..
  21. i have project x 6.0 shafts on my irons and they give me a nice mid to high flight and the ball just seems to cut through wind better than any other irons ive hit.
  22. i like to play pro v1s for practive and tournaments. i usually just buy alot of good balls of ebay and take out the ones that dont have any scuffs of scratches for tournament but the ones that have a few nicks i use for practice. and its a lot less expensive than buy a few dozen brand new.
  23. i play blades because i like a challenge but also because i love the feel and feedback from them. i switched from my dads old blades and ping cavity backs all the time because everytime i would play the pings for a while i would find my ball striking getting worse. i usually have really good ball striking but i hit so porely in a tournament that iwent back to the old blades and i finally started to get the good feel back. and now i have brand new blades and after a few months of not playing( off season) i shot pretty good considering i didnt have the feel back from not playing and hitting absolutely horrible on th range. school golf is startin and im the top player so im hopin that ill be alot more consistant than i have been in the past.
  24. i dont really like to listen to music while im actually playin on the course cause i like to hear the feedback of the shot. but i will listen to music when im warming up so i can get the feel of the club. and depending on what mood im in ill either listen to heavy rock or country music. the rock gets me pumped up but the country keeps me calm and focused.
  25. at about a 100 yrds out its usually just a full sw unless the pins in the back then its an easy pw. but from that distance ill most likely hit the green and not be farther than 15 ft. from the pin which isnt the distance i like but i rarely miss the green unless i just totally hit it terible and then its just a few yrds. off. but im a low handicapper so i have extremely high standards for myself!
