  1. How could I forget the ladies? I'll add Se Ri Pak, Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis. cubdog
  2. When I was a kid my favorite players were Gary Player and Arnold Palmer. In my 20s and 30s it was D.A. Weibring. Currently I like Ben Curtis, Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and Padrig Harrington. D.A. is still my favorite as a Champions Tour Player and his son Matt is my favorite Nationwide golfer. Hopefully Matt will graduate this week. So who do you guys pull for? cubdog
  3. 86 at Silver Ridge on a beautiful fall day. 72 degrees although the wind was about 25mph. We are expecting some snow on Thursday so it might have been my last nice weather round of the year. cubdog
  4. Congratulations President Elect Obama. cubdog
  5. Ping Pal 4. cubdog
  6. Dryjoys. Very comfortable. cubdog

    Eagles!?!?!

I've had two this year. When I lived in Denver they were more common. The elevation made it easier to reach the par 5s in two. cubdog
  8. Another vote for Ping. Great putters. cubdog
  9. Three black dots in a line. cubdog
  10. It's sad. To many people enable him. I hope he wakes up before it is to late. cubdog
  11. On the other hand, when I'm not feeling 100% I tend not to overswing and sometimes play better. I can't say I've ever been sleepy on the course. cubdog
  12. Check out age group 12, Ben Doyle 8th place. He was the winner as a 7 and 11 year old. As a 7 year old he broke Mickelson's scoring record. In the 6 and under group Eric Doyle, Ben's cousin finished 32nd. He is only 4. I'm their proud uncle. cubdog
  13. Both tournaments had great conclusions. There is alot at stake this time of year. cubdog
  14. Good drugs? cubdog
  15. It's also important to find a pro who has his ego in check. We can't all be scratch golfers and it helps to work with a pro who can see your limitations. I've taken lessons from some who thought they could turn me into Tiger. That really screwed me up. The guy I'm working with now has been a great help just by stressing fundamentals. cubdog
  16. Faldo first then Miller. Faldo sounds like he has a mouthful of food and can't complete a sentence. Miller is more arrogant than insightful. I much prefer David Feherty, Peter Oosterhuis, Andy North and Gary Koch. cubdog
  17. Did anyone see Paul Goydos putt out of the bunker yesterday? What a great shot! It's a shame he missed the putt. cubdog
  18. Having recently moved from Denver to northern Illinois I'm wondering how you cold climate guys deal with the winter months and limited, if any, golf. The Denver climate was mild enough that courses stayed open and we could play year round. I live in a small town so I do not have access to indoor or heated ranges. I figure I have about a month tops to squeeze in a few rounds then what? cubdog
  19. I'm old school and saw Jack play in person when he was in his prime. Still, Tiger is the greatest. Jack never dominated the compitition like Tiger. This coming from a Phil guy. cubdog
  20. Retired. I may need to find something to do this winter when cabin fever sets in. cubdog
  21. I enjoy these fall series events. It's nice to see some of the guys that get ignored most of the year. cubdog
  22. I'm a convert. I recently added the Burner 3 and 4 hybrids. Much easier to hit, longer and straighter than my irons were. cubdog
  23. Welcome from another new member. Good luck with your game! cubdog
