  1. Ah, Poults. Always good for some drama. This is surely one of the situations, that should only be regulated among the players. No harm, no foul, and I applaud Poulter for the entertainment.
  2. It is definitely legit. You can also try Sonocaddie . It is free, as long as you only load 1 course. However, with my old iphone 3G it is not very stable and shuts down from time to time, when push notifications come in. But since it is free for the first course, there is no risk.
  3. "Golf Shot GPS" is the best I have seen so far.
  4. Hello, Over the years, I kept buying 35" putters, but recently I changed my putting stroke, and would like to use a shorter putter. Can I just take off 1" from the butt end and putt a new grip on? Or is the clubhead somehow adjusted to the shaft length? Also I am worried about putting the grip back on. I figure I need to get it back on perfectly. Any special tips for regripping a putter? thx, Dom
  5. Haha, must have been the putt that (almost) went into the water hazard. He had to putt over a ridge, but the ball did not make it to the other side. Instead of rolling over and breaking to the left big time, it stayed at the top and broke to the right, away from the whole and stopped on the read water hazard line.

Can these guys really dial in their drivers yard by yard, or is this just a bread and butter driving distance?

Alex Prugh misses Hole-in-One on the Par 4 17 by inches...... and then Mediate with another eagle on 17 from 116 yds. That must be pretty unique: Mediate holes Rd1: 230yds Rd2: 160yds Rd3: 111yds Rd4: 114yds
  8. Here is an article explaning the possibility of Kaymer grabbing the top spot pretty soon. Westwood not the only player who can take No. 1 on Oct. 31
  9. Temperature alone is influencing distances. Warm air is less dense than cold air, hence ball goes further. So thousands of raindrops pounding the ball during flight will most certainly make a difference.
  10. And another win under his belt. Kaymer wins the Dunhill Links C'ship @ St. Andrews and his third tournament in a row.
  11. I don't know, but I don't see the point of finding some systematic cause why Euro won this time. It ended with a .5 margin. For me that proves that the teams were equal. We could try to analyze this, if one team had handed the other team their asses with a 18-10 or so, but the whole thing was decided by a handful of putts.
  12. So should they be forced to play for the US team? Or are they not allowed to play at all?
  13. I have good and bad driving streaks. At the moment I am straight but short. Not hitting the sweetspot. I would say my total overall average is 210, my hcp is 17,7
  14. I am procrastinating this shoulder surgery (both sides) for years now. Thinking of getting it done in january, after my Arizona-Winter-Getaway. @JML22 Could you give me some details, how your rehab went?
  15. That is - without any doubt - North Korea's Kim Jong-Il. He shot a 38 under, including 11 hole-in-ones on his first round: http://www.worldgolf.com/blogs/willi...es_makes_kim_j
  16. and why is that? Put her on a guilt trip.. you looking forward to THIS SPECIFIC DAY and all.... And then start negotiating Yeah, but 2 years can be a long time....
  17. No Cut. (This sentence is to get over the 9 characters limit.)
  18. My thoughts, too. I would not say, one or the other team is stronger. But they play in Wales, so that tips the balance towards Team Europe.
  19. Plus, there are a lot more that can shoot really good scores. Tiger has to beat more guys than he used to.
  20. Thanks, but are you sure that's what the author really wants to tell us?
  21. The course is 71.8/131. And with a 85 you are technically a -11 handicap on this course. But I am posting my official Hcp, and that only changes if you play a tournament, which I don't do very often.
  22. Yes, mee too. I am shooting in the mid 80s pretty consistently. Only the driver decides if I am playing a good or a bad round. There are typically 6-8 pars on my round, rest bogeys, with a double here and there. All that being said, I think I have *never* managed to hit a good solid 5i on a round. 6i are 50/50. This is probably ridiculous, but I play better when the ball is in the first cut or even moderate rough, compared to the firm fairway. My problem has always been thin shots, and over-the-top swing. I am messing around with S&T; to get better contacts, which somehow works, but now the ball flight is pretty low and I get sockets more often, b/c I tend to come OTT more often. Bottom Line: I suck, but see some potential to break 80 if I just get somewhat better with my ball striking
  23. I don't mind getting wet, or the course conditions. I just hate when my grip gets slippery. Can't hit a decent shot, when the grip feels slippery.
  24. Nice blog... http://larrygolfstheworld.com/golf/g...ge-tiger-woods
  25. I think this is a no-brainer. Tiger has to be in the team, if he wants to play.
