He's won a lot of tournaments (including multiple majors) with lots of talent flipping at impact. But he's now a 42yo harmonized enbrel spokesman.

Great show. Last night, family was watching the Olympics, so I'll watch last night's BB episode today. I've really enjoyed The Wire, The Shield, Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones. Other than those programs (and Top Gear UK), I watch sports.

Overdue for a major win: Steve Stricker--plays well when conditions are mild and clock is ticking (45yo) Lee Westwood--game is too inconsistent for this course Matt Kuchar--He lives on St. Simons Island, so should be comfortable at Kiawah All that said, I think Duffner will finish on top.

For Star Wars fans- When your playing partner starts out well, then has a blow up hole or two, then angrily crushes a driver far and straight down the middle on the next hole, say "you used the Dark Side on that one" When your playing companion scores well initially, then has a run bogeys/doubles, etc say "I sense a disturbance in the force" For Hangover fans- Whenever you get a really unfortunate bounce into the rough or other hazard say "Thanks a lot Bin Laden"

Interesting, Japan and Korea certainly have a history. Yani Tseng, Shanshan Feng, and Karrie Webb would be left out. I like keeping the Solheim Cup as is for nostalgia. Maybe the winning team from the Solheim cup plays the winner of Korea vs rest of world (not in Solheim Cup). Korea currently has ten of the world's top 25. It would be Solheim Cup and Korea vs rest of world (not in Solheim Cup) every two years. With the winner of those two in between.

Gulbis clearly has the lowest RR, her game is showing signs of life, but I think she has an uphill battle to make the team. With 8 of the current top ten LPGA money leaders from Asia, there really needs to be an LPGA Presidents Cup type event. The Solheim Cup is a very marketable competition with a history of entertaining, fiercely fought matches, but is looking less relevant and more nostalgic.

Sure, I've made some good friends on this forum. A few years back, I had a regular tee time on Thursday afternoons. I would often see an older gentleman teeing off at about the same time. One day we teed off in the same group-- we then subsequently played numerous rounds after the initial random pairing. I really enjoyed golfing with him-- 85yo riddled with arthritis but would often shoot his age or under. Didn't hit it very far, but arrow straight, always with a positive attitude.

Sounds like you have a good swing; but with the mid and long irons/hybrids, your ball flight is inconsistent. You are missing greens left and right. I'd say, work on your long irons so that you have a more predictable ball flight/shot cone. Taking more club and swinging easier might work for most, but I strike the ball much more solidly with an aggressive swing. With a 3/4 effort swing, I tend to get timid/less comitted and guide the club. If in between clubs, I get better results by taking the shorter club and swinging harder. Quick fix for ball sitting high in rough. Play the ball a bit further back in your stance and choke down a bit on the grip.

Ha, that's my good friend from PHX. We often wear the worst looking golf outfits possible. Stripe shirt, plaid shorts, black saddle shoes, white socks, and big floppy cricket hat is my go-to. I'm planning to kick it up a notch with the paisley/union jack combo. -

Hawk's Head #10 Shephard's Hollow #8 Pilgrim's Run #1 Pilgrim's Run # 3 The Majestic # 4 -
Just finished a golf trip of southern Michigan. We played Shephard's Hollow (Clarkston), The Majestic (Hartland), Thousand Oaks (Grand Rapids), Pilgrim's Run (Pierson), and Hawk's Head (South Haven). All great courses, but I'd rank Pilgrim's run first, then Shephard's Hollow, then Hawk's Head, with The Majestic just ahead of Thousand Oaks. Someone had previously mentioned Pilgrim's run 18th hole. One of the most fun par four final holes I've ever played. The hole measures 322 from the blues if measuring along the fairway. Tee shot from a 30 foot elevated area, narrow fairway, and huge bail out to the left, but it's a 250 yd all carry over water if going straight at the green (it was into the wind the day I played it) 18th hole Pilgrim's Run

Absolutely. Supremely talented and self motivated, but seems to need the external approval/disapproval/guidance.

Tiger: Playing great. #1 Money List, Fed Ex Cup points, and scoring average. He's never driven the ball this well #5 Total Driving. He appears in much more control of his sweet spot path and clubface with all clubs. Short game and putting should improve with work. SF: Woods, Rose, and Mahan are all in the world top ten. Sean Foley has been dealt three aces, so it doesn't make him a good poker player. I've only seen him on youtube and TGC. Communication skills 3/10. Golf swing knowledge 7/10 I suspect he's excellent at delegating/outsourcing but owning to 95%. BC: good golfer

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Arrested for attacking his own mom
uttexas replied to RonTheSavage's topic in Sports
Prediction: As soon as his value goes up again, he'll be traded. He's an OK punt return guy, and in two years, he only has two games over 90yds receiving (104yd career game high) -
The first thirty minutes of the show were awful. Total time waste money grab. The Dolby 7.1 "sits" were the worst. Selanee's crushing of "glo bear" almost made up for it.

Not exactly new, but the 2006 Macgregor m565 muscle cavities are great clubs. Is it worth learning to putt from off of the green?
uttexas replied to jshots's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
In the southwest (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona) greens are often surrounded by closely mowed dry grass or hardpan. The ball will roll true in these conditions and putting from yards off the green is your best shot if you know how to play it. In other regions (northwest and great lakes), the greens are surrounded by wet, thick grass where putting off the green is far less accurate/precise. -
With good time management, you should be able to golf plenty in college. I'd recommend a small stand bag, as you will likely be carrying your clubs. You will meet plenty of people that enjoy playing golf--some will have an automobile. Some metropolitan areas have good public transportation, and you might be lucky to find a bus or train route that works.
