  1. You start to get a little "wristy" in your swing in some areas (ie: takeaway, a little at the top)
  2. Wow. That's a pretty amazing deal. I tried out the IQ when I was looking for a new driver and I hit it very well but I decided on the Burner mainly because of price.
  3. 14 for only playing a couple months is pretty incredible. I'm at an 8 after a year(which some people consider pretty good) but my first couple months I was nowhere near a 14. How much have you played to get there? I play every weekday it's not raining or snowing year round. That's what helped me so much.
  4. What helped me to not come over the top and swing more on an in to out swing path is that I would hit a few balls with my driver with my body pointing left of the target line(a closed stance) and then I would use that feeling of swinging on an in to out path and try to incorporate it with my normal stance
  5. Shallowing out the driver swing because of the way I've been popping it up. Practicing with more weight on the right side at setup, teeing it higher and sweeping the ball off of the tee instead of hitting down into it.
  6. I went 41/36 for a 77 on a par 72. Driver didn't improve as much as I thought it would after I did so well with it at my range session yesterday. Short game helped a lot which is usually how it goes seeing as it is the best and most consistent part of my game. I seemed to be extremely accurate today leaving a couple approach shots within two feet. Par: 4-4-4-4-3-5-5-3-4-4-4-4-4-5-3-5-3-4 Score: 5-4-5-6-4-5-5-3-4-4-3-4-4-6-3-5-3-4
  7. The surrounding area of Denver and north and south of Denver. Colorado National Golf Club(previously known as Vista Ridge) Loveland Olde Course Bear Creek Pelican Lakes Green Mountain Legacy Ridge(Amazing course) to name a few
  8. Favorites based on swing: Hagan(study his swing a lot) Anthony Kim(because of how much power someone his size can generate even though he chokes down on the club) Geoff Ogilvy(I don't know why, I just love his swing)
  9. http://www.eagletracegolfclub.com/ Great course when it's in good condition. I play here every weekday during the summer and it is my handicap home course. I hate the aqua driving range though so I use this http://www.thebroadlandsgc.com/lands...=125&page;=1996 practice facility and I also play there every now and again.

Took a lot of practice. I practice for about three hours every day from March-October and play a round every weekday because I can play unlimited golf for $100 if I tryout for the golf team. My hands have become immune to blisters.

15(5/6/94) been playing for a year and am playing to about an 8.
  12. In my opinion they are the best golf ball out there for their price. Played with different sleeves of Srixon golf balls(Z-Star, Z-Star X) for a while and decided I liked these better because of the price and how soft the cover is on Z-Star's. Tryouts in a couple weeks and I needed golf balls so I went to Dicks and got them 2 for 25$.
  13. My brother went to school with his daughter when my family lived in Williamsburg.
  14. Mine was more on the lucky side of things. I was hitting my 2nd on a dogleg right par 5 behind the lake and trees guarding the green. The only visible part of the green was the back right of it between two trees. I decided to risk it and took out my hybrid.I pulled the shot and it was headed straight for a tree when it went through the only hole in the tree made by the branches and landed 5 feet from the front pin location. The thing was it was windy so the hole I hit it through was moving around a lot.
  15. I think I figured it out. I haven't passed a revision date yet. 8/1 is the next day. I got my GHIN on the last revision date, 7/15. Is this why?
  16. I have a quick question about my handicap. I have a GHIN and have put in about 7 rounds of golf into the computer. I was told that after 5 rounds I would have a Handicap. What is going on?
  17. 3 dozen Srixon golf balls Nature Valley Honey and Oat Water Tees Notebook Sunscreen Wallet Keys Earbuds Random Scorecards Glove Bag Rain Cover Towel Cellphone
  18. Nickent and Adams will always be the top of the hybrid makers but Nickent is "The King of Hybrids". I'm playing a 3dx RC 3 hybrid that I picked up at a golf expo. Its my favorite club in the bag, besides the wedges(I'm a short game guy). I use it for everything from full to half shots to greenside play. It is bery forgiving.
  19. Payed 28 bucks for 2 dozen Srixon AD333's, two Srixon towels(free with purchase) and a FootJoy glove.
  20. This helped me a lot. Especially the stance part. http://video.about.com/golf/Hit-Long...ter-Drives.htm
  21. This helped me out a lot. Now I'm getting a lower flight and a lot more roll. the stance part helped me the most. http://video.about.com/golf/Hit-Long...ter-Drives.htm Thanks to everyone that replied.
  22. I've hit about 300 balls at one point. By then my arms were getting weak and I was starting to drop the club down a lot. My routine is 3-4 days a week(I play a round every weekday during the summer so I try not to do a lot) hitting 200 balls and focusing on the short clubs(6-GW). I then spend another hour or so working on a certain part of my short game( either chipping or putting). I'm usually there for about two and a half hours but on a lot of days I am there for over three hours.
  23. I don't consider myself a low handicapper, but I will say that I have only been playing for a year. Last summer I was shooting in the low 100's high 90's. After a spring of hard work on my golf game(driving range...no actual rounds) I went out for my first round this summer and shot an 89. It's only gotten lower since(I shot a 79 from the tips today). So, for me, there was no A-HA! moment just a lot of work and struggling to get my game more in tune.
  24. I also shot a personal best today. I went 42/37 for a 79 from the tips. I have a feeling though that this will only get better. I am currently trying to figure out my driver but other than that everything is clicking. Stats: Fairways:9 GIR:7
  25. Really I should just delete my thread because this one has my exact same problem. I know that for me(might be different for the OP) moving the ball back and/or changing the tee height doesn't make a difference.
