I have also been in one of those slumps, and I just got out on the course more and I was so much better.=

Last Saturday, Par 4 5th hole. Really short par 4 should almost be a par 3. Put my drive into the centre of the fairway. 2nd shot, 5 iron punched, really windy day, put it to about 8 feet, then sunk the putt for a nice birdie.

Gorgeous Cammy, I'm thinking of getting one sometime this year.

Sergio is one of the best. Tiger can be great dressed, but sometimes it's just too plain.

Welcome, I'm sure you will have a great time here.

Yeah, just like on the follow through, just going straight, then coming round. Im not very good at explaining. Hopefully you know what I mean.

I voted Luke Donald, I just love his play. I wouldn't wanna be Tiger, because sometimes the media would be too much. I'd love his tournament wins, but the media would be too much. I'd like to be a guy who wins a few tournaments and isn't always in the papers for it.

Recently I got a demo of TW07 for 360. It's fantastic, one of the best and most realistic games i've ever played. This now wins, the circle thing as the aimer makes it very hard, and when you are just starting as your created guy, the circle starts huge so it's alot harder. So it will be hard to break 90.

I've recently sorted out my swing. And the guy told me to follow the line on the follow through, but sometimes I try too hard to follow the line and mess up the shot. Is there any tips I can use to just follow the line naturally?

How far do you hit your irons?

pw-100 9i-130 8i-140 7i-150 6i-160 Not particually long. Bare in mind I'm only 13. :P -
Can I ask, how far do pro's hit them clubs?
-
I've gotta wait till christmas.

I'm looking most forward to the new circle aiming target instead on the dot, much harder and more realistic hopefully. :D

I've got a few from St. Andrews, I've got one that my friend bought me from Carnoustie, and another friend bought me one from Pebble Beach. What do I use? It's really a case of which one I pick up off the desk, it's just pure guess, usually I just don't look, grab one and go to the course. :P

I play alot better in a twosome, it's just chilled out, have a chat and a laugh whilst walking down the fairway, then be quiet and respectful to each other when taking shots, then just continue. I've got no pressure when I'm playing with John (my playing partner) because I know that even if I'm playing bad, it wont matter much, so most the time I don't play bad with him. On my own, I lose focus easier, and theres no-one to calm me down if I play a bad shot.
-
Well, I play a lot under my handicap, I just havent played in competitions for a looooooong time, due to injuries etc. but whenever I get out there I play to 15 and below. The normal r7's without any letters on the end are the ones. :P

I've just asked my mom to get me some Taylor Made r7 irons for christmas. And shes given me a fortnight to look around for reviews for them, and see if they are worth buying. So, can all you people who have used these clubs write a short review or something on them please? Talking about forgivness, feel etc. Thanks Ben P.S. I felt like putting loadsa smilies in for some random reason.

What Iacas said really helped me out! So don't flame/whatever him. After about a week of practise I got to spin the ball back about a foot, not much I don't think, but it's a lot better and it really helps, if I keep practising, then I'll be able to spin it back a hell of a lot better. Thanks Iacas! Ben

This thread is a bit dead so I'll bring it up :) On Saturday on the par 5 6th at Stafford Castle Golf Course. Hit my drive down the right of the fairway, 3 wood to about 100 yards, then pitching wedge onto the green but hardly, just right on the edge. I was aiming to get it just around the hole, not in. Within 3 feet or so. Greens have a sharp left to right slope, and I just hit it, and it landed within 3cm of the hole, then I knocked it in for par, but that really made the difference as I was in a competition, and a bad putt there would have meant I wouldn't have finished as high as I did.
-
Firstly, Draw. How to I make a shot have draw, there's a few holes at my club where I could really use some draw. Secondly, spin. I'm really not sure on how to put spin on the ball, I've done it a few times, but sometimes I just keep finning it!

On a uphill course I can hit it about 225-250 yards, is that good for a 13 year old who's been playing golf for 1 1/2 years? Well, even if it isn't my irons are good so I don't mind about my drive.
-
Mine happened yesterday, put my tee shot right, behind a little tree, got my 7 iron, closed the club face, full backswing, cut off the follow through because of the tree. Was about 2 feet off the ground bounced just before the green then rolled down the green to about 15 foot from the hole, put my putt about a foot away and knocked it in for par.
-
I'll probably give it a go then. Any recommended ones? Any Callaway good ones to match the rest of my clubs?

I'm at high school, Year 8, I don't know what that is in America.

Lmao, I think I might use that.... No seriously .A.J. has a real good suggestion, I'll use that sometime.
