    Mini Tour Play

Hey Ben, How old are you? And when you say you are a PGA Apprentice, what does that entail? I need to get my game serious before I graduate in May. Major life decision coming up.
  3. He plays on the European Tour, that is why you don't know who he is. He is 19, ranked 17th in the world and is currently 3rd on the European Tour's Money List. How can you not know who he is? But back on topic, what is wrong with being Sergio? He's #3 in the golf rankings, and Camilo is #7. They are very evenly matched
  4. I haven't read the article yet, so you're probably right. Anyway, I think it would make for good TV
  5. Sounds like you're thinking too much. You need to be commited when you putt. Start drawing a line on your ball, then set the putter to the ball so the line matches up. You won't be thinking about the line anymore, just the feel for the speed.
  6. I strive to be in the zone, been there like 4 times. Most recently when I shot 67. But I've also been in the zone and shot 73, comes down to putts for me
  7. Memphis Kansas Pitt Oklahoma
  8. I mainly do the elliptical, but when I'm feeling tough I'll run a couple miles
  9. My friend was just telling me he read an article that Stevie wrote, and he said that he has to lie to Tiger at times throughout the round depending on how Tiger is playing. For example, the critical wedge out of the rough on the 72nd hole of the US Open. Tiger didn't think he could get lob wedge to the hole, but Stevie knew that Tiger was amped up and convinced Tiger to hit lob wedge instead of sand wedge. I guess he will also give Tiger wrong yardages or something lol
  10. You don't like taking ANY practice strokes before? How do you get a feel for how hard to hit the putt?
  11. x2! Also, get your first putt closer...
  12. Normally, players with higher handicaps have a harder time hitting a full wedge/SW. Club up and take a more controlled swing, this will improve your accuracy and it will be easier to control the spin of the ball. I don't hit a full SW often because it spins too much. Hope this helps.
  13. Thanks for the input guys. My miss is probably 90% left, either a dead pull or just turning it over too much. If I hit it right, it is probably because my tempo was bad and I get jumpy at it, hitting it thin.
  14. I'm working on swinging around my body. I was very handsy, take it outside and be in the most retarded position post impact with my hands. I also need to work on tempo and standing taller. Kinda hard to explain what I'm really working on though
  15. Gone through a few changes, it sucks, still have kinks to work out. This was probably in September... After a lesson I had This is back home a few weeks after, it feels weird still
  16. I like to throw clubs a lot. I've broken a few slamming them against my bag also, but never over my knee. I also threw my 4 iron tomahawk style at some trees and the head snapped off. lol

    Mini Tour Play

I need to move somewhere warm this summer and get stupid good lol
  18. Sounds like you know what you need to work on. Biggest difference between great players and good players is putting, short game and the scoring distances inside of ~120. Sure great players hit a few more fairways, a few more greens, which leads to more opportunities at birdie, but you still need to make the PUTT.
  19. Go to your local golf store, and get a putting carpet that has lines on it. The one I have at home has lines at 3,5 and 7 feet. There is a line to square the putter head, and after that you should square your body accordingly. Do that everynight. What I do is make 50 in a row with my eyes closed at 3 and 5 feet. That putting clip is a great tool also, along with the putting track, but you could always save yourself a couple bucks and lay down a couple clubs parallel to each other and putt inside that.
  20. I agree with these except for Newcastle. And the weather is going to be cold, and probably rain
  21. A good drill if you have access to a grass range...find a club with the head broken off. Address the ball as normal, and stick the club in the groundjust outside your right foot. There will be some room for your hips to move, you may touch the club with your hips a bit, but this will force you not to sway at takeaway.
