  1. Sounds pretty dominating to me.
  2. When I walked alot during high school, and would occassional ride a cart, I would usually play worse riding. I played much better thinking shots through on the way to the ball walking. Now that I'm using to riding in a cart though, carrying a bag seems to wear me out more and it's harder to stay loose with the bag strapped on my shoulders. I'd imagine if I had a caddy I'd play much better walking.
  3. I dunno, but to me my left hand feels like it's along for the ride.
  4. Companies like Ping fix their retail prices for a reason (one being online sales, for sure). Articles like that piss me off... it's not a dig on the Military. Or small children, or disabled people or minorities (that article could have been catered to any group of people). Bottom line is they don't allow retailers to discount their products and those folks broke the rules of being a Ping retailer....meanwhile by selling cheaper those places probably got ALOT of business, and probably stole it from other retailers who were playing by the rules. If anything, those places should be ashamed of themselves by unfairly profiting off the very people they claim to be "supporting."
  5. Well, the Pro V1's have gotten harder to last longer, I'd suspect that in order to spin more they'd have to get softer covers again which would make them less durable (again). There's a trade-off, and the only reason these balls have been able to get harder and still spin well was because of the grooves.
  6. You could try playing it a bit farther back in your stance, more like where you'd hit a mid iron if you're trying to play it as a fairway wood right now. That might help you hit it straight.
  7. Yea, I'm now only pulling driver on holes that are either very wide open - or when I need to in order to reach a par 4 with a mid iron, or a chance to hit a par 5 in two. I'd rather have an 8 iron in 4/5 times rather than a SW 3/5 and the other two in the trees.
  8. Don't they have different rules for gear? Like, the COR's can be higher there as per their rules (no USGA)?
  9. It was Stone Creek, I'm a member there. Kinderlou is a bit longer from all the tees. Been working real hard trying to get the 'cap down to a 5 by the end of the season. Had lots of fun playing the reds (actually golf got fun again, and less stressful) and am gonna do it from time to time just to post a low number and keep things fun (less like work).
  10. ...from the red tees (9 holes of course). Had 4 birdies and a double. Felt good, even if it was only 4750 yards thru 18. Something about driving par 4's with 3 woods and hitting 3 wood/9 iron into par 5's that reall get the juices flowing. That is all.
  11. Sounds like something Tiger would do. Congrats.
  12. I shot a 51 at Bethpage Black on Tiger Woods 2010 for the Wii. Do I get anything for that? It was on party mode :/
  13. I thought he was gonna cave, but both of them pulled it together eventually. He kept his cool, and deserved the win. It woulda been nice to see Phil finish strong though :(
  14. Only if you were "practice" swinging where the tree branch overhangs your ball. As long as you're not improving your lie or stance, I don't think it matters.
  15. Yea I snooped him too. Dude says he back went out and that's why he's selling them... but he bought a set of Ping irons and sold his back brace alittle while ago in his feedback history. Lol.
  16. Yea Adel.... that explains it. Imagine Alabama+Mississippi=LessRedneckThanAdelGeorgia. It's about 20 mins north of me.
  17. I'd think that, on your back porch, you'd probably want something you didn't have to worry about growing... cutting or chunking. Something artificial would be much, much easier to maintain and I'm sure would look better than a tarp covered in grass.
  18. You can't throw or lob a ball, it has to be "struck"
  19. All things being equal, the fairway wood would probably be longer because they usually have longer shafts. Essentially, a hybrid is a fairway wood on an iron shaft as far as my understanding goes. You'll be more accurate with a hybrid because of this, but again the distance usually isn't as strong when comparing degrees to degrees.
  20. You could bend one of them to 51*
  21. 2008 Porsche Cayenne, 2002 Mustang GT and 2004 Acura TSX. All good cars, though the Mustang's a bit of a race car.
  22. I'd imagine most blade players hit the ball fairly high on the clubface, whereas alot of game improvement irons have a very low center of gravity and do well hitting the lower grooves. Just a speculation. Also, hitting the sweetspot on a cavity back isn't as 'sweet' as the butter feel with forged blades.
  23. How can you NOT like Tiger Woods in this one, especially coming off a a win and driving the ball dead straight lately?
