hahaha! i just got back from a quick 2 hour 18 on our local par 3 LOVE LOVE LOVE this course its anywhere from 85 to 215 yards or so - and when the wind is blowin (like today) it can be tricky I played 2-4 balls and was VERY please w the results got the ol Odyssey 9 in the bag and figured that i need to aim it slightly on the toe a bit to make it work....BOOM...putts started to drop today gonna head out here more often 9 holes is like $4 more than a LG bucket of balls - and i can do 9 holes in an hour...playing 4 balls well worth the $$ in my mind feelin good after today's session

havnt tried that shaft but have heard great things about it yes found 2 shafts on the BST on gwrx and the HY shaft on ebay
-
oh i do practice them........ just some of the greens are tough to get to certain pin locations and these little shots are tougher than a longer iron in not always, just certain holes i practice my short game 75% of the time (this includes 120 and in to putting) just going to spend a little more time on the long irons, especially from the tee some of the par 3's are 190 + and there is 6 of them (one par 4 is converted to a 3 now, as the tee box is under construction)

NP bro good luck w your shaft search if you like mid, low spin bombs, try out the OBAN Devotion series of shafts I put one in my R9 420cc and its the tightest, smoothest shaft I have ever used (smoother than a whiteboard smooth ;) ) one time pulls can be found on ebay or in the golfwrx BST for about a hundred bux (retail is about $200 or so) i lied the OBAN series so much, i put the Devotion 6 o5 flex (x stiff) in the driver, Devotion 7 o5 in the 3w and the Revenge HY o5 flex in the hybrid got all 3 shafts (one tour issued and one brand new) for around $300 shipped to me thats about the cost of one Revenge new have fun!

What the article said: Foley was quickly rumored to replace Hank Haney after Haney had announced he was no longer Tiger's coach in May of 2010. First reports of Woods working with Foley came in August of 2010, when Foley was seen videotaping Tiger's swing during a practice round at the PGA Championship. It is believed that Sean O'Hair and Hunter Mahan, both Foley disciples, had a hand in the player/coach matchmaking. ( O'Hair recently announced his own split from Foley. ) Woods finished tied for 4th place at this year's Masters, but his overall results have been somewhat inconsistent since he began working with Foley. The 14 major championship winner has cited steady improvement in his understanding/execution of Foley's methods in interviews. The pairing has been met with critical scrutiny in professional golf circles. Woods announced he will be competing in the upcoming Players Championship after withdrawing from this week's Wells Fargo Championship due to injury."

match play always eff's w my head i play based on how the other guys(s) are playing which usuallly ends up w me playing more aggressive than i normally do I think if i stick to my game and play as if i was in stroke play, the scores will be a lot lower and i will win more matches i mean i know its the start of the year and im a bit rusty, but a mid 80's round simply wont cut it in the 1st flight my game has some work (which will come w some more practice time) but as i get to know the course a bit better and better course mgmnt, its gonna be fun winning again... i have made some outstanding shots that even had me saying out loud "holy sh*t.......good shot!" hahahha!!!!! all in time........ its actually really good tournament prep too....... i get that feeling of pressure playing these nights, so its like a mini tournament each week...which i need

the heads are all the same its the shaft that matters and the TIP you have a TP tip is .335 and a non TP tip is .350 find out what tip you have and buy a shaft that fits that tip if you have a TP tip ONLY a .335 will fit if you have a NON TP tip, a .335 will still fit w a shim no problem if you dont like ur shaft a .335 tipped shaft will be easier to re sell as it fits all drivers, where a .350 only fits certain brands/clubs hope this helps ;)

alright, somewhat of a rant but hear me out I am playing mens night at a course I have only played like 3 times It has 3 sets of nines on a very links style course - and the wind is ALWAYS blowing in friggen Saskatchewan it has some of the city's best golfers participating in it each week and major sponsors like Taylormade...so its quite competitive we had our a$$es handed to us the past 2 Tuesdays by guys i know i can beat...the problem.... my course mgmnt sucks There are a lot of holes that are tempting - like a 280yd par 4, a 420yd par 5 etc... lots of dogleg par 4's that "seem" reachable....but i just cant get there and am ending up in trouble off the tee big greens w multiple tears and sucker pin placements every night so...... i have this sh*t licked now im going to start playing smarter and a little more conservative like hitting a HY or long iron off the tee and leaving myself full shots in, instead of 30-65yd shots in I also read some great advice ..... getting yourself in play off the tee and YOUR SECOND SHOT INTO THE GREEN is how to score and its so true I am pretty consistent w my 8i-60*, and do practice this a lot BUT when i practice i pretend i am playing a course i know - never hitting 2 of the same clubs in a row i will usually start w a few wedges to warm up, then straight to the 3HY, 4i, 5i from different lies and a tee then 3w from the tee I will hit only about 4 balls w each club, then i "play" 18 holes w the rest of the balls I get enough practice w the short irons playing 18 on the range, so i like to get some good long iron practice in which is going to help a lot on longer courses i am going to dominate in the next couple weeks, i can feel it golf..... screw you.... i have you figured out ;)

very nice forged offerings from Bstone I have played the J36 CB's and they were nothing short of amazing feeling Just hated the PJX shafts in them Also the J38 driver is a long, straight, shallow faced bomber not as much of a following in N.America i dont think, but over in Japan their sister line Tourstage, is huge IMO cant go wrong with ANYTHING Bstone

My Indoor "Wedge-Court" Game : EDITED
enis750 replied to enis750's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
edited now...something was up w the site earlier when i posted it sorry for the mass confusion!!! hahahah! -
I have been working w a great instructor this winter, and he introduced this wedge game to me I start and end every practice session with this game so far, i think it has been super beneficial and i think it is going to make a world of difference in this years scores and dropping my index below 2 i used to flip quite a bit w my wedges, 100% not even knowing it but i made it work and RARELY hit one fat or skulled one, but he has me keeping my left arm much straighter on these short shots and my consistency is scary now below is a shitty paint pic of the indoor set up and ill explain below -so i start by hitting 2 balls to each arrow (there are lines actually painted on the floor, as its also used for indoor volleyball, tennis etc.) -i will look at an actual spot on the floor or a ball and try to hit that ball -then try to hit each target w the purple arrows w one ball -Then I “play a round” from tee to green 18 holes -I just envision the shot and distance I need and execute it -If I have a spot close to the putting green, I will even make a putt or two -Finish off w the same above wedge court game This has really made indoor practice a lot more fun .......I sooo miss taking a divot!!! hahahah!!!!! but this is better than NOT hitting balls i guess anyways, thought i would share what does your indoor winter practice consist of??

congrats bro kids change your life, but only for the better IMO i have a 3 yr old and a 6 mo. old (Taylor and Talon) my daughter is such a sweetheart and is starint to show interest in the game i took her to the indoo range for the first time a few weeks ago and she LOVED it! she blasted through a bucket of balls in like 8 mins!! hahahaha!!! SO CUTE have fun w her, cherish these times and coffee will be your friend in about a week ;)

i cant find a pic of them, but i use some older sony ones they are about the size of a twonie, maybe a bit bigger and have "legs" on them that tuck behind my ears run the cord up my shirt and dont even notice its there VITAL part of my practice, especially putting

What's the best scrambling par you've ever made?
enis750 replied to Todd Ruggere's topic in Golf Talk
I have 2, both from last year: Hole 2 @ my home course - was playing about 165 yards this day (tournament) -chunked...yep chunked my tee shot about 100 yards in the WET rough waay short of the hole -tried to hit a high soft shot on the green as the pin was up on the second tier and being short was not an option...it went another 20 yds -im still 45 yds away, same lie as the last shot...tried the same shot - it hit, bounced once and rolled in Hole 10 @ my home course - 495yd par 5 dead into a 35+ km/hr wind (tournament) -hit my tee shot a bit right in the what i thought was the first cut -get to my where my ball should be..not there -5 mins of looking and im running back to the tee - w 1 group waiting and about 25 people watching -tee it up again and it goes to the same spot but my playing partners had it located when i got there -big arse headwind, so i was still about 225 into this green - hit 5w -left myself about 25 feet....drained the putt for Par -
like the new rep system thumbs up!

How do Sunice jackets fit?
enis750 replied to SeaWolf14's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
pretty true to size i wear mostly LG jackets (I am 6'2" 185 so kinda lanky) and this is what my Typhoon jacket is - love this jacket -
i started doing this a few years ago - best thing i ever learned to do i replace grips a lot..more because i switch irons so much, and i HAVE TO HAVE my Tacki MAc Itomics on my irons!!! lol! i can usually do 4-PW in like 35 mins start to finish now, its a breeze being they dont sell those grips at golf town, it has saved me a tonn of cash and at 3.69 a grip, doing them yourself, you cant NOT to replace them at least once a season very very very easy job as mentioned above, taking the old tape off is sometimes the hardest part i just ordered a drip tray too....will save $$ in the long run on solvent i use the orange smelling golfsmith stuff...works great with their tape too!

enis750 replied to Gerald's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
from the deck....they can be a little tough to hit depending on the shaft and head combo i rarely use mine off the deck tho - tee mostly for target golf, if i need to hit a fwy, short par 4 etc... my 2hy is 18* and is good for 230-235 from the deck anything longer than that, better have some room to make a mistake my HY will get me to a distance i am good with a wedge and a better chance for bird all day loong as mentioned above a 4w is a geat option and usually just as long, and a bit easier from the deck
