  1. 2nd edit: i'd get the view ti if you have a iphone 2.0 or i'd recommend the airvue if you have a 3g
  2. i actually got a couple rangefinder apps the other day but i've yet to use them on the course. i spent some time reading the reviews on them and it seems that the vcaddy is the better one but none of them have great reviews. i'm not sure if people were just expecting a whole lot more out of them or what the deal is but just by navigating around the application i think it's alright. edit: i hadn't seen view ti golf since it has just recently made it's way onto itunes. this one looks like it's the most promising for mapping out the course and not just telling distances to the middle of the green.
  3. i actually got a king cobra baffler pro 3h for $11 off ebay recently also from someone who is retooling their bag and i know what you mean. i actually hit an 09 launcher and didn't like it quite as much as the baffler because the hibore seemed almost dead compared to it. good luck out on the course with your new club for a great price.
  4. i wouldn't have spent the money on a draw set. you should fix your swing with regular clubs and go from there.
  5. i got an 08 f speed ld 3 wood in the mail about a week ago and absolutely love it. you're right though the sound it makes is very unique sound (much deeper than my driver). which is weird because titleist and cobra are made by the same company.
  6. sorry, double post.
  7. marketing for coca-cola.
  8. greg norman but i'm not sure if that's a compliment or not.
  9. you could look into the "lite" flexes too which i believe are equivelent to a senior flex.
  10. very rarely. i'm sure i would clean them more often if they were white but i have some all black greenjoys.

  12. i feel like it would hurt your game to get different irons. but i wouldn't be adverse to getting different brand hyrbid, wedge, fairway woods, and driver. beyond irons i think it all comes down to feel and what's more comfortable. if pricing is an issue you're not being patient enough! you can regularly find great deals on iron sets through ebay and craigslist.

    hey

i will have to check out those courses sometime this summer. they look very nice (especially the highlands at geneva).
  14. i would love to do this but unfortunately i don't own a video camera.

    hey

new guy from wisconsin. well i'm not from the north originally i'm actually a transplanted southerner. hope to see yall around the boards.
  16. i'd recommend selling your current 3 wood and getting a new club with a stiffer shaft. it should cost you less overall.
  17. meh both your current 3 wood and the new f-60 are solid clubs. it's up to you as to what you want in your bag but i would say there's no reason to upgrade unless you feel like treating yourself to something nice.
  18. i would suggest getting the srixon's. i hit some at a pro shop recently and they felt great although i still recommend going and hitting all three you're looking at and then buying online through craigslist, ebay, or a site like callawaypreowned.com (although i don't think they have any srixons).
  19. i know you're supposed to make a divot, but i can't seem to do it without it completely disrupting my follow through. i seem to barely scrape the ground and the ball still gets up pretty well when i make good contact. does anybody have any tips or videos to look at? i need to work on this for my high irons backspin.
  20. +1 i agree with everything there. mine was collecting dust the past few years and i broke it out at the range a week or two ago and it has helped my game out yet again amazingly. heck, i don't even actually hit the ball i just take a few practice swings with it and my contact is better and the ball is going straighter. i absolutely love it and second the notion about looking on ebay (also try craigslist).
  21. if you have a netflix account i implore you to check out the few short game dvds that are available (there is even a play it now video on a nuclear core swing video which is good for your full swing too).
  22. it's funny you run into this kind of thing all of the time. the driving range i go to seems to have something quirky about it and i can't seem to hit it far at all (given it's always windy and the wind is against me). i find the best way to kind of measure how far i hit the ball is estimate how far i am from the 150 yard marker after a drive when i'm at the course.
  23. i would recommend just getting a short shot on the fairway and conceding a stroke. there is no sense in digging yourself a hole by making multiple poor shots.
