  1. Ummmmmm no kidding the popularity of golf didn’t used to be near what it is today. Anyways, everyone is in a hurry. Speed up the game, speed up the game. No I’m good, I enjoy being out with my buddies or my wife when she golfs with me. It’s nice being out on a nice golf course enjoying a couple of beverages. What’s the rush.
  2. Riigghhttttt 👍
  3. Looks like Tyrell Hatton dotted a spectator pretty good. The more instances like this that make the news the more pressure golf will be put under to address spectator safety.
  4. The impatience of today’s society is killing past times. And more times than not that impatience is driven by money.
  5. No, the picture doesn’t do it justice. It definitely looks like metal. I’ll screw around with it and see what happens. After looking at the pic it really doesn’t do it justice. I’ll try and get a better one. There we go. Much better
  6. Slippery slope paying a lady who lost her freakin eye. Kinda a cliff wouldn’t you think? She didn’t get hit in the back and now wants to sue, she lost her eye. We can all say this when it’s not effecting our lives. Again I do feel that people need to be responsible for themselves but this is pretty extreme and most extreme cases end in some financial payout.
  7. Just watching the presser from the day the accident happened, I think her attorney will jump on Brooks statement. Saying “we hit people way too much”, “it happens every week”, and “yelling fore doesn’t matter”. The attorney will use those statements to show that pga isn’t doing anything to prevent these accidents. Again im not on anyone’s side. I do believe that people should know what’s going on around them. But as the saying goes common sense ain’t so common. We(people into golf) know hey we are kinda in the hot zone right here pay attention. That’s kinda loss prevention 101, make people aware.
  8. Easy big dawg I’m not that kind of Californian. I’m a “behind enemy lines” Californian. Look up the country song “other California”. That’s me. I hate this state(or what it’s come to be) just can’t uproot my family like I would like to. 😤😂
  9. Another quick reference is the lady who was killed at a Detroit redwings game years back. Now every hockey arena has nets up that wrap behind the goalie. And I believe in the early 90s is when the raised the glass height around the entire rink due to pucks hitting fans.
  10. She will sue and she will win. It will all come down to what did the organizers do to help prevent this? Not that it’s right or fair but that’s the reality. It would be the same as having a mine field and telling someone if you step on one it’s your fault. Were there signs out saying balls could land here? Were there signs out showing how to cover up if you hear someone yell fore? I do safety for a living and that’s what this will come down to. There’s a good chance this could change the viewing at future tourneys. You will see areas with signs, you may even see areas roped off that don’t allow spectators to stand in any more, ie common landing areas in driver distance. Someone will do a study on ball speed and areas with certain clubs could become no go zones. A waiver on the back of a ticket or “common sense” isn’t gonna work on this. What did you do to prevent this is what will be asked. Someone brought up the TV cables, any where that is “pedestrian traffic” will have the yellow cable bridges with a sign that says watch your step. There are no similar signs out lining the fairways, that will soon change
  11. Watching the video now. Thanks. Just asking because it’s got me confused. do you think a tapered hosel would have a centering buss?
  12. I think we will see a much better tiger next year. Think about how good he played the end of this year and his strength and conditioning were no where near where he likes to be. He was legit sporting a belly and no chest at the Ryder Cup. Now that he knows he can trust his back for the swing let him have time, get a good couple months in the gym. I'll admit I'm a tiger fan boy and I hope he stays healthy enough to break Snead and Jacks records. I think he'll accept he's not the longest hitter on tour anymore and eat people's lunches with his iron game. I think the true condition of his back was proven when he spent all weekend hitting out of that nasty ass rough in Paris and barely even winced. I'm excited for a few more years of tiger.
  13. I need some help from the builders out there. I am going to reshaft some rtx 3 wedges and I've already pulled the shafts. But I have an issue with the 56*. In the 60 and 52 the hosel is completely empty. But in the 56 there is something still in there. Almost looks like a tip weight but I'm not sure. I'm not surprised if it is because this had an upgraded shaft in it but what's confusing me is that I reshafted an OG rotex 56 and it had the exact same piece in there. This piece would get in the way if I need to add a tip weight and I'm a little nervous to over heat the metal to see if I can get it out. You can barely see it down in the bottom
  14. Eeehhhhh if it was easy it would be no fun. My first hole at my course is 341 yards. I can hit my hybrid to within 90 hit a full sand wedge, 1 putt, outta there with a birdie. I do it almost every week. Why do I say almost every week because just this past Wednesday pulled my tee shot, chunked a chip into the bunker, two shots to get out, 3 putted for a 7 on a hole I eat for lunch. Wtf. Hahahahahaha
  15. Getting fitted is always the best way to start from zero. getting fitted as a HI golfer just means we will have to get fitted multiple times as our skills improve. As your swing improves what once was your perfect shaft will no longer be your perfect shaft. The extra stiff shaft you are using most definitely is hurting your distance(your swing speed isnt flexing your shaft enough) but at the same time is probably masking your slice(most likely has lower torque, probably around 3.0) which is more of a hand placement(during swing) and timing issue. Your fitting will more than likely soften your shaft flex up but just be aware of the torque rating on the shaft they fit you for. Most of us HI will benefit from lower torque shaft because it will keep the head more stable through the swing process. If you end up with a R flex shaft and 3.9 or higher on the torque your swing is going to have to be buttery smooth. Your 3w dilemma isnt all that crazy, more loft helps eliminate some of that side spin you are getting off your driver. Same concept of hitting a 4i vs PW. even with the same swing path your PW wont slice nearly as hard as your 4i. Get that driver fitted and only use it at the range for a while, use your 3w as your driver, find more fairways, gain some strokes back from those errant drives. But if you get your driver fitted you might as well get your 3w fitted. Freakin golf, this is the worst sport ever. 🤣🤣🤣
  16. Not super familiar with all the Titleist models but if the fairway and hybrid are the same and you polished them up to match that would be a cool looking set. Any Titleist fan boys will be hittin you up with “what model is that”. That’s a perfect time for the “they are your issue” response. Hahaha.
  17. That looks pretty sic.
  18. Cobra F6 I won at a tournament. Don't feel like the distance is there(usually prefer Callaway drivers) but I do hit it very straight.
  19. I’m thinking I’m gonna do the 8 iron idea. However I did just come across an idea called “tiger stepping”. That seems interesting.
  20. Do you guys prefer wedge shafts like the wedge specific shafts(not wedge flex we get in off the shelf’s) or do you guys like the 8i method in your wedges.
  21. That would be a very enlightening experience. See what the best of the best shoot with all the tools on the same course you play.
  22. The “lost ball” would bite a couple guys. We don’t have spectators and marshals to help locate wayward shots. My course likes to give that “authentic Scottish feel” in the middle of the desert so we have many areas of 14-16” buffalo grass. You can stand in it, drop your ball and never find it............... unless it’s topflite XL 🤯 any tour caliber ball is swallowed into the abyss
  23. My “home” course is riverlakes ranch in Bakersfield. Tournament tees 72.9/ 130. 6781 yds, I’d imagine they could find a few extra yards if needed, still a good 600 yards shorter than a lot of the courses they play on. Im sure they could light it up but I don’t think you’d see 59-61 on it. Give them a practice round or two and yes I’m sure mid 60s would be a walk in the park. But first time playing with no prior knowledge I’m not so sure.
  24. Yea my bad everyone, literally right after I posted it I was like wth, where did that topic come from. Sorry. 😂😂 and no no I didn’t “mean to write 65”. Yes if they played the course everyday then yea they would tear it up, but if they were cruising through town and just played a round on your course. Even taking it serious there would be things they didn’t know or weren’t used to so I don’t think it would a barrage of 60s getting marked down.
  25. What scores do you think touring pros would shoot at your home course? No caddy, no yardage books, no green books. Just them on a cart like we all play(or at least most of us). I think we would all be surprised. I would guess 75ish at my home course from the tips. I've always wondered. Just a bored time killer question.
