  1. Listen, I am not here to fight or to prove I am right over dead bodies. If it helps you, let us say it is my actual hobby to study Mac's swing. I often use the abbreviation "imho" because I do not want to impose my way of thinking to anyone else. I was fascinated with the simplicity of principles that McCord (and Mac himself) articulated during their clinics that are available on YouTube. The fact that the info changes (being distant to today's MORAD events I am not aware of that and that is why I do not feel it) proves that the idea is in progress as it should be provided these are minor changes that I believe they are. Also I have my eyes and ears open for new things but, as a metodic man, I would like to have a base system for my teaching method. None of existing big teaching pro names (and I studied lots of them) convinces me to do it better than TGM and MORAD based ones. All the successful teachers of today that I admire and follow are certainlly TGM- and MORAD-trained which sort of confirms my choice is good, however, if you are so kind to introduce me to the work of someone whom you regard as the best I will gladly study it.
  2. I think I have already answered the question here: because imho Mac O'Grady's philosophy is the most consistent and logical of all current methods for teachers and because also imho his swing is the best I have seen. I am familiar with TGM and now I go a bit further and concentrate on knowing Mac's principles so that my pupils can build good swings and play good golf. Some are followers of Ballard, Hardy, Harmon, etc. and I did not meet any hostility towards their accolites. I do not know why, TGM and O'Grady threads puts people in a very emotional way. If I am not interested in something, I do not feel need to go to such threads and express my negation. That is all.
  3. It appears that the discussion about Mac O'grady is not very welcomed also here despite I am not polluting other threads with Mac and TGM here. It is a pity, but OK, I can live with that. I prefer not to have a dejavu and to be expelled from this forum as well.
  4. This is a good drill:
  5. Interestingly, hickory times champions were not even close to have straight left arm. Most probably due to their dress code.
  6. Mike or everyone, is someone here familiar with the notion "bunny hop"? I have read somewhere that this is how Mac calls the very start of the swing. That is a very interesting text with some great GIFs that describe the idea: http://biokineticgolfswing.blogspot.com/2016/03/a-word-on-mac-ogrady.html I remember I asked about it on the other forum and received no answer.
  7. Solid B. I reserve A grades for someone like Hogan who was back with a better play (comparing to fellow pros) after much worse experiences.
  8. Right on. These clips are worth looking at:
  9. Eargasm...
  10. There was a good thread on the other forum where the conclusion (very sane one, imo) was that there is no problem at all to be OTT in the type of Bobby Jones or Sam Snead or Craig Parry provided the player delivers the club still from the inside.
  11. He is, but not as he should be extending, imo. For instance, he is too early too steep with his shoulders which makes him run out of upper left body extension too early. This is the culprit of his spine and knee pains. IMHO.
  12. Correct, however, if he only could learn to extend differently than through his lower body parts...I am curious anyhow and keeping my finger crossed for him.
  13. He is snapping his injured knee again...
  14. No, no, the checked pants swing. Absolutely agreed.
  15. 1988 year:
  16. This footage is great; pay attention to the thighs' posterior (back) muscles at A4 and later on:
  17. Thanks, bud. These checked pants positions are just golden, not exaggerated left as S&T does and more natural to perform. Is there this footage available somewhere or just pics? As far as S&T goes, now I can see that Plummer and Bennett somehow mixed patterns (CP elements in the backswing with CF elements in the downswing) probably having had an idea to make everything easier. I am not sure if this is the best way to do so.
  18. I know this is not a footage but I have never seen this before...
  19. The Carl Welty's from 1990 is the earliest on YouTube. However, there are 3 swing sequences from 1986 here: http://www.historicgolfphotos.com/store/category/sequences/#letter-o
  20. So, less stackandtiltish backswing and more pivot-driven downswing with a bigger secondary axis tilt, so to speak very very roughly? Gotcha. I'm starting to understand why, I appreciate your answers.
  21. You are right, I just would like to know Mike's answer for my question. Yes, but it can be just basically straigthish, not perfectly straight.
  22. Say, straight shot, medium trajectory, no extremes. I rarely deal with accomplished players.
  23. My friend pro from Holland uses has been using this technique for years and swears it is the best way to putt. I've tried it without any progress though.

  25. Extension is antithesis of flexion: in order to extend you have had to be in flexion before.
