  1. Well guys here is the finished product. Once tip was installed and grip the shaft length ended up being 45.5 inches. I decided to leave it at standard length and play it there. I can always go back and trim if needed but hoping I won't have too. I did do one thing that the next time I won't. I put the grip on yesterday before installing it on the head making the grip major label underneath which is no big deal since I usually install them under anyway. First super stroke grip I have used and kinda wanted it on top lol but no big deal. Hopefully I'll get to try this baby on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Thanks for the help appreciate everyone's input.
  2. Thanks guys. I appreciate all the input. I have a diamond Dremel wheel to trim the shaft with so that is no problem on that end. I think I'm going to trim it to standard length and see how it plays. It's a lighter shaft than the one currently in it and I don't want to make any changes I'll regret. It is fun learning how to do this stuff on your own with a little help from your friends! I'll post a picture when I finish on Monday. The grip doesn't come till then lol.
  3. I have a question. I have a new 46 inch shaft and adapter for a Cobra King F6+ that should be here tomorrow. My question is this. Once I install the adapter to the shaft will I need to trim the butt end any? I'm short and it's my understanding 45.5 is standard. Could I trim the butt end to make it 44.5 or will that screw it up. Thanks guys.
  4. @Buckeyebowman yes I was born and raised in Dayton,Ohio. I now live in Birmingham, Alabama.
  5. @iacas Thank you I'm going to start working on that drill tonight. I had my left knee replaced two years ago and it didn't heal correctly so I think I favor it without knowing it. If I get a more stable turn will it help with the left arm breaking down and collapsing instead of staying fairly straight? Thanks I truly appreciate the help.
  6. I want to be able to have a straight left arm on take away and not have such a long over the top swing. I also need help big time with my down move to get to the ball. I'm scooper and tend to end on my back foot. I also don't feel like I am releasing the club. HELP! I've been Playing Golf for: 1 1/2 years had not played in 30 years My current handicap index or average score is: Mid 80's to 90's My typical ball flight is: straight if hit correctly or pull left or slice with the driver The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Pull left with my irons. Videos: I am opening and willing to take advice. I know that I'm a mess and would like to tighten it up. Thank you so much.
  7. @Buckeyebowman I'm going to do some searching around and see if anyone around here does that. I tried at our PGA Superstore but didn't have much luck. They did ask me if my club gad been bent before and I told them no I bought them straight off the shelf at Dick's just really frustrating to line up not knowing which way the ball is going to go lol. Thanks for your help.
  8. Ok here is what I know about my clubs. Callaway X2 Hot irons 4 Iron 20.5 degree loft 60.5 lie angle 5 iron 23 degree loft 61.25 lie angle 6 iron 26 degree loft 62 lie angle 7 iron 30 degree loft 62.5 lie angle 8 iron 34.5 degree loft 63 lie angle 9 iron 39 degree loft 63.5 lie angle PW 44 degree loft 64 lie angle 4,5 & 6 iron tend to go right and the lower irons I tend to hit right more often than not. I don't know that much about lie angles except what I have read on the internet. Do these lie angle sound about right? I always hear about degrees hen talking about lie adjustments. Can someone explain it in terms I can understand? Is 60.5 degrees? Considered Flat or Upright? Thankks
  9. 2019 Goals: 1. Get rid of breaking my left elbow creating a big John Daley swing. I want a more compact swing that I will have more control of. 2. Improve my approach shots and hit more GIR's. 3. Improve my short game. Did a lot of work on my chipping at the end of 2018 and improved greatly. 4. Improve my putting. I averaged anywhere from 34 to 38 putts per round. The main thing is to get a good solid swing that I can count on. With all of the problems noted above I mostly shot in the mid 80's and if I shot bad it was in the 90's. I even shot my two best rounds ever of 78. I'll be 60 this May and I've been working hard to get into shape and have more flexibility so that all should help. Wish me luck!
  10. @phillyk yes the measurement I gave was incorrect. Wrist to floor is 33 inches. I appreciate everyone's input. PGA Superstore said I should be in a Ping black dot but looking at their chart it states Red 1 degree flat. Like I said I bought these Callaway X2 Hot's right off the shelf at Dick's and I hadn't played in 30 years and shooting in the mid 80's with them and a low of 78. I tend to pull my shots to the left with my irons mostly my lower irons 8-PW. The 4,5 I seem to dig the turf with so that's why I posed the question. Thanks so much for all your help.
  11. I'm a short guy 5'8" on a good day and my clubs are Callaway X2 Hot irons bought off the rack at Dick's Sporting Goods. They have never been altered. I also have short arms and the wrist to floor is 29 1/2 to 30 inches.
  12. Line on the ball test should I do it with a higher lofted club like a 7 or will any club work? Thanks for your help guys I truly appreciate it.
  13. I love my Cobra King F6+ driver so for me I'd have to say the Cobra King F9. Lexi Thompson used it to win the LPGA Tour Championship so excited to see what Rickie does with it this yer!
  14. Good afternoon I hope I am posting this in the right place. Could anyone tell me if my club is too upright or flat please?
  15. I normally hit all my shots straight. I would like to be able to hit a draw when I want to hit it but so far no luck. I practice in a field next to my house and with foam golf balls I can hit a big high draw. I had not played in thirty years but after my left knee replacement my nephew talked me into playing again and I'm hooked. Any help y'all can give will be appreciated. I also finish high like in the video. Thank you in advance. I normally shot 80-86. I've been Playing Golf for: 1 year after being away for 30 years. My current handicap index or average score is: 11.5 My typical ball flight is: straight or a straight pull left The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: pull left or the occasional right. I usually hit the ball straight which is great but not always good when trying to setup on certain holes. Then I will slice right at times. I can hit nice draws with irons when practicing with foam golf balls but does not translate to the course. I would love to be able to hit a small draw with real golf balls. I got a tiny draw with this shot but mostly hit my drives and irons straight. I always finish my swing high as well. Thanks for you help and advice. Videos
