This would be awesome. I work for the local government here in Louisville KY and the Fleur De Lys is EVERYWHERE. Would be perfect for the next golf scramble.

My wife picked these up at a retailer that was having a big clearance sale. They were the displays so she got a little better deal on them. However, they are too big for me. The bottoms have a very tiny bit of wear from what I would imagine people trying them on. However, there are no scuffs, scrapes or anything on them at all.... definitely haven't seen a golf course at all. I can't return them, so I'm here to sell. These currently sell for $225 at most places and were on sale for $180 at the place of purchase, so please no BS offers.

Really it's going to depend on the driver head. I would say with your SS, a regular shaft would be better suited. However, that will definitely change the launch angle. With your ball speed, you're already at the ideal launch angle. However, you need to get your RPMs up.... A LOT. As Ross Perot used to say: Take a look at this chart. A good place to start would probably be a 9.5* driver with a regular shaft. Should help get more RPMs. Good Luck!

Plain and simple.... what is the best way to take some length off of a driver shaft? I got fit for a new shaft this off season and saved a boat load of money by putting it in myself. However, my driver is now 46" and I prefer 44.5". Gripping down doesn't feel right because of the taper of the grip. So, I'd like to take the extra 1.5" off. What kind of tool should I use? I've been told a good plumber's pipe cutter would work well. I also have a jig saw with some really fine tooth blades. I thought I could put some masking tape around the shaft and cut through the tape to prevent splintering, but I've never messed with graphite before. Thanks for any tips or help.

Sorry, but Tiger IS out of it. He's just not putting well enough. If Rory slips.... I think Angel Cabrera will take home his second Green Jacket. Dude is too cool and calm to make big mistakes. I like Luke Donald as an outside shot, just because his iron play and short game are so good. With Sunday pin locations at a major, he could post a number with an hour or so left in Rory and Angel's round that will put a little more pressure on them. Either way, I'm pulling for Rory.

I have for sale a set of Mizuno MP-57s (3-PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 Stiff shafts. Clubs are approximately 3 years old and show normal wear for their age. There is some bag chatter and face wear however the grooves are still in excellent shape and they play great. Definitely have that sweet "buttery" feel Mizuno Grain Flow Forged irons are known for. All clubs are standard length, loft and lie angle. Lofts were checked in Oct 2010 and have only been used for 5 rounds since then, so they should still be right on. Re-gripped in June 2010 with the standard Golf Pride M-21 Mizuno logo grips and still have about 50-60% of their life left. Will come packaged in a new irons box with protective foam I snagged from a local pro shop. Asking $300 shipped/insured but am very negotiable. I just bought a new set of irons and need to re-coup some money. I have over 300 eBay transactions with 100% feedback under groovezilla79. I've been playing the Never Compromise in my sig for about 11 years now. It's old, beat up and still has the original grip. I've tried 8 or 9 other putters since I got this one, but it's the only one that feels "right". Im afraid to change the grip because I have the "sweet spot" worn into it and I don't want that feeling to change. Most of the guys I play with think Im a weirdo :-p

I really really really like Callaway glasses. Those Neox (sp?) lenses really help me keep track of the ball in in flight and when looking for it in the rough/tall grass.

I know for sure I wouldn't score any different. I already only carry 12 clubs. Could easily take out the 3 and 4 irons. I actually grew up playing 3W, 5W, 4i, 6i, 8i, PW and putter. Got down to 8 handicap with those 7 clubs alone before my parents bought me a full set.

Based on the last round 4 rounds I've played Putter Driver 8iron - as greens get harder, I use an easy 8 for normal 9iron shots because the ball sometimes spins off the green with the 9. A full 8 doesn't spin as hard for me, so it sees double duty 6iron - 4 of 6 par 3's at my home course are a 6iron for me plus layup on 2 of the par 5's PW - my 75-130 yard club SW - all those missed greens 4wood - tee shot on shorter par 4's and 2 long par 5's at the home course

I agree. A lot of the new rangefinders will also give you an "adjusted yardage" based on uphill/downhill shots.

Check out the Callaway golf sunglasses. The "neox" lens or whatever it's called actually works. I've been able to spot balls in high grass, rough and in the woods that I don't think I normally would have seen. Best $100 I've spent in a long time.

I have been playing the Bridgestone B330-S for almost 2 years now. I bought about 20 sleeves of all different kinds of balls and swapped them out over the course of the season. I found the B330-S to be the best balance of distance and feel for me. Not the longest, not the best spin, but a good combo. However, Im hearing great things about the TM Penta, so I may give them a try later this season.

It MIGHT be the clubs. The MP series is generally geared for lower handicaps. I know the MP52's (very simliar to the 58's) had a "core handicap range" of 4-16. You may want to look at the Mizuno MX line. They still have that soft forged Mizuno feel, but have the forgiveness of those TMs you tried. However, the length, loft and lie of those TMs are WAY different than Mizuno. I'm assuming the course rentals are at least standard loft and lie. So, unless you've had those MP58's adjusted to be the same specs as a TM, then they will definately play different. Maybe you just need those MP58's to be more upright? Just a thought.

I used to write "NOT YOURS" on the blank side of the ball... it got a few laughs out on the course. Now, I put a blue or red dot to the left of both the Bridgestone name and the number of the ball.

For me it's knowing that my grip is in the exact same place every time. I know exactly where the butt of the club should be in my palm and can feel when it's off. I can't feel the butt when choking down, so I don't know for sure that I've gripped the club the same way every time. + or - 1/4 inch when choking down can make all the difference when trying to hit the center of the clubface.
