  1. Didn't watch the last round so during period breaks in the hockey game last nite I blew thru it...I noticed only once Faldo mentioned that they were playing "lift, clean and cheat". It seemed it was almost an accident that the camera caught a guy cleaning his ball. Did anyone notice? Like I said I watched it really fast (and a few beers) so maybe my conspiracy theory is off base.
  2. sorry bro, out of town till late thursday nite...you playing again? jacaranda, east is better course...and this time of year it rains here just about every afternoon btw 2 & 5. You should try AM time and be off the course by 2. (that's why the afternoon rates are so cheap)
  3. shafts have different thickness'. the Aldila graphite shaft in my driver is thinner than my steel irons, so the driver grip needs and extra wrap of tape to "feel" like my irons.
  4. Aren't all Canadians gay?
  5. damn..too late to guess 12.9?
  6. 12..........
  7. 983K from 2006, love it...Its been regripped 6 times and re-shafted twice...but..when the 910's come out I hope to get a 909D2 on sale @ $100. Some folks have told me to hold on to the 983K...its one of the best feeling drivers ever. But hitting a friends 909 the ball definitely comes off "hotter". Never played a full round with one to measure apples to apples but I would guess the new technology is good for 3-5%.
  8. 2003,,,Marlins over the Yankees...Hanley Being Manny!
  9. yeh I'm with you Sean....those are pretty much my scores and I'm an 8.5...I didn't think the slope had that much effect. Most slopes I play are in the mid-high 120's, does a 5 point jump mean that much?
  10. Where did u buy it? I saw some guy in Australia using it and another guy said he bought it on ebay but it came from Korea....Did u buy on line or in a store?
  11. I saw that "swingyde" once before and the guy didn't know what it was called. I think its brilliant, simple and cheap. PS how cool you have a driving net in the warehouse!
  12. dude I'm in Ecuador every month...where r u? I need a hook up to play..what city are u?
  13. If normal people achieved the lag that Sergio does we would tear evey ligament in our thumb, wrist and forearms.
  14. It's almost impossible to explain as god knows every golf magazine has tried.. the only way to truly "get it" is to take your shag bag & LW to the practice green and hit 10 yard to 20 yard pitches...if you hit 50 - 75 a day it will be unbelievably frustrating (and embarrasing) the first 15 or 20 times but you will eventually understand the techique. It may take you the rest of the summer but IMO if you can master that shot it will go a long way to understanding the full swing. Why?...the margin of error is far less than hitting a 460cc teed up driver or a 7i off a nice fluffy lie. You cannot cheat and expect to execute this shot.
  15. I'm with you 16! I'm calling BS...looks like an 8 to me. The difference btw the city swing and the country swing is huge. The country swing looks very solid. Those blow up holes must be wild.
  16. Only time I played Pebble I birdied the 18th....so I got that goin for me...which is nice.
  17. I've played in about 1/2 the states and 17 countries...Besides the obvious (California or NC) I vote Michigan in the "small state" catagory. You can find excellent stand alone courses in any location but for the sheer volumn and quality Michigan has the "upper hand". Course the weather sucks. and nothing overseas compares to the US, even the land of my grandfather,,sorry Scotland,,,except for whiskey and golf, thank god he left!

    Driving Distance

Gonna have to agree with the Shankapotomus...chipping fundementals are very similar to the full swing...putting is more subtle...but certainly if you early release on your full swing that's the guy you see on the green flipping his wrists, missing the sweet spot..coming to impact toe up or toe down in relation to setup...shaft high (or low) at impact compared to setup. A few mm movement of your wrists in putting will cause you to miss the sweet spot..while it may take a few inches in the full swing with a 460cc driver to screw up. (and yeh I think we beat this subject to death a few weeks ago)
  19. Probably just means they closed the plant in the US and moved production to China. All this golf crap is made there.
  20. I have no idea what 11 psi feels like. Did they let u on the same machine? Did u try to match the 11 reading? How did it compare to your normal grip?
  21. Scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis…one douche bag coach has enormous control over the student athlete. I don’t have a problem with an amateur not getting the $90K prize money as he is not a tour member nor a pro, my beef is on the promo side…Notice Justin had a HP logo on his shirt and another poster mentioned he was wearing a titlest hat..and no way he could make a penny. Why? Easy the NCAA wants that promo dollar for themselves not some poor kid makin $100K for doing a few Gatorade commercial
  22. remember jamo,,,medical marijuana is legal in California.
  23. I played college golf in the '70's with Apex irons (which are still in the garage)...Like you I got away from the game for the "kids years" but a guy in my league was getting rid of some Apex Edges and I took them 2 years ago for $100 and a few beers. Love them!! Just got them re-griped with GP Tour Velvets...sweet! I use a mizuno 3 iron but the rest 4i-PW are awesome.
  24. ....and remember what lack of loft is....Lack Of F...kin' Talent...sorry couldn't resist.
  25. Stretching out every day. Tight muscles kill my swing.
