  1. I think its because of ego.
  2. Yeah same here, number 1 on my team too. I'm gonna be a junior this comming season. Our school doesn't have a girls team and I find it interesting that yours does. How many kids do you have?
  3. I find that people are really hostile to getting advice from a teenager, I'm sixteen and aspiring teaching pro. So when people give me shit about giving them advice, I just tell them to go talk to my teacher and ask him how I am at diagnosing swing faults. Another reason I believe that I get so much hostility is that I'm better than 99% of the guys I give advice to, that has to piss them off. On that note, I don't give too much unsolicited advice anymore.
  4. Driver: 905R V2 75 stiff 9.5 Woods: 906F V2 75 Stiff 13, 15 Irons: MP-32 4-9 Hybrid: 583H V2 75 Stiff 21 Wedges: Oilcan 48, SM 56, SM 60 Putter: Answer 34in
  5. They might be a bit heavier, but im not a clubfitting guru
  6. Don't buy irons based on a temporary problem my friend, you will regret it. Spend some time with a pro and on the range and be patient and impatient at the same time. What I mean by that is, don't wait for it to come to you magically or through super game improvement irons. Hit as much as you can and really think about working on it, get help. But on the same hand, be patient because these things take time. that being said, shaking sucks
  7. cleveland where in NH are you from?
  8. As long as you have solid legs and your hips turn instead of sliding then you should see some more consistant power and control.
  9. I rotate my hips as well as my shoulders...ABpositive is right in saying that beginners shouldn't add more complexity but let those hips move naturally. I try to add hip turn to supplement to my shoulder turn, creating more power. Just hit the range man and it'll become evident as to what you should be doing.
  10. When the course opens, I play and hit 7 days a week. However, right now I just swing and go to the range on weekends. But I chip and putt in my room every night.
  11. I think the X-forged should work for him pretty well. He has 670 blades which are custom order only, so maybe he doesn't get enough workability from the X-forged which I highly doubt. Look for him to have X-forged irons here pretty soon.
  12. 0/+1 according to golf digest
  13. Shakespire I'd presume.
  14. Ceilings for me, however, my father has taken chunks out of walls repeatedly because swinging inside causes his hands to sweat profusly (sp?).
  15. student, highschool...I work at the course in town part time during the summer when I'm not competing.
  16. my golf dreams include, holling out from the fairway for eagle with my girl standing by.....well I'll keep it PG but you guys get what im getting at.
  17. sex after golf...girlfriend goes to the beach during the day, surfs, I go to the course and guess who needs help taking off their outfit ...
  18. My buddy and I were playing a 9 hole practice round the day before a big match against the top school in our division and we were on the last hole of the day. Both of us striped drives down the middle of the medium length, up hill par 4 9th at our home course. We were standing at about 110 yards but with the slope it played about 150, my friend pulls a pitching wedge, his "normal" 150 club. he stepped up and took a MIGHTY swing and came down at such a steep angle that he completely embeded the ball in the turf. Not only that but the ball shot up and over his head and landed 10 feet BEHIND him. He took 6 and I a 4. The whole team including coaches and spectators saw the shot and needless to say my buddy was quite red comming up that fairway.
  19. Teaching pro or tour van by far...Teaching pro is great because you swing and show people how to swing all day, don't forget about playing lessons. The tour van has to be sweet because tinkering with pros equipment and then having them win with something that YOU build has to be an awesome feeling.
  20. Haha no I am not married, I was merely saying that I am free from the martial bonds and free to play golf as much as I wish. I can contribute somewhat, I had (note had) a girlfriend during golf season and well it was her or practice. Im single now
  21. I love being a teenager on the golf team with a membership to a course that I live two miles from...Excuse my poor grammer but I love being able to play everyday all day, although not as much now due to high school. But I am planning on becoming a Head Pro and I would love to take my game to the ultimate level: the tour.
  22. your too bent over at address which would cause the outside-inside swing path that would cause the slice-fade bad shot. Try standing a wee bit straighter and bending at the hips with a slight bend.
  23. Walk and carry is the only way to go IMO. That's the way the Scots did it, its the way the pros do it and thats how I will do it until I can not physicly do it anymore. By that time I hope I'm going on 90.
  24. Wow, that is one of the more ridiculous "quick fixes" I've ever heard of. I don't understand where people get these ideas. Why would you put a layer of petrollium over a metal face designed to aid in ball speed. Suggest to this guy that he practice and take lessons instead of ruining clubs and club property.
