I am going to say Nick Watney at -14

I'm jealous! Looks like awesome weather down there also. Who impressed you the most?

I don't know what everyone else thinks but I love watching this event because it is a more relaxed atmosphere for these pros. We really get to see some personality from these guys. It's amazing how many pros play for these clubs.
-
My pick would be Kaymer, but I agree with whomever said that there are soo many players right now that have recently gained confidence in their game that could win it. I'm just not sold yet that Tiger has total control of his shots to give him the win.
-
The percentages are more draw favoring than I would have thought but I have watched tournaments where the commentators have said that Vijay, Dustin Johnson, and Tiger all prefer to hit high fades. The pros have good imagination when it comes to shaping shots to hold into the wind or riding the wind to get to a tucked pin. Very cool

I remember that 94 British Open. I mean seriously, I watch a playing lessons with J.B playing with (I can't remember at this time) but anyway, he had less putts in that play round than he did in his final round in the last tourny. I understand that the greens most likely were more difficult to read in the tournament but really?!? I like the guy as a player, he has alot of talent.

There is such a thing as over-thinking a shot. It drives me crazy when I see a guy (or woman) take forever to figure out a shot and get up and take the shot and not like it. I realize some people have certain routines that they feel help them but when play as much as these guys (and woman) play should'nt most shots just be second nature? If you watch playing lessons from the pros, it's amazing how when these players are relaxed how they just get up there and hit great shots. Just my opinion.

From what I have seen from the show he has some talent. The problem as some may know is focus and distractions that can definately affect how we all play. Not comparing his talent with Tiger's but after his "derailment" last year with his wife, he didn't play all that well (for him). This Burk guy obviously has some issues from even his childhood that has affected him dramatically. I personally hope he gets it all worked out and makes it on the senior tour. Lets be honest there are probably a few guys on the tour that were born with the silver spoon in their mouth.

I went through the driver fitting process, only because I also was looking to upgrade my shaft with a better quality one. I own a r7 425 and hit about 6 new drivers with various shafts and clubhead sizes and found that I only hit one club marginally better than my r7. I still did change the shaft in my r7 and now hit it better than those others. My point being that the fitting is successful in setting your current driver up to you without spending $400.00 or more on a new one.

Although I feel rangefinders are very useful in some circumstances, inside 150yrds. is alot about feel and wind, air density, dryness of course, all seem to make big differences at the shorter distances.

My vote is for Kenny Perry.

I had not been to the store here in Toledo until I purchased a three pack lesson this winter from them. The instructor was very helpful in working out some of my swing issues. I also had a new shaft installed in my driver and they seemed to good job with it. I had a driver fitting and it was useful enough to tell me that I hit my current driver just as well as the new larger and lighter ones. I know that with the fitting that the goal for them is to sell me a new driver, but they really did'nt push it. The one thing that sucks is that they only have one simulator there and it always seems to be busy. Sorry that you had a bad experience with them.

I agree spitz20. They are totally different balls. Before trying either ball I did'nt know anything about either. After trying both I could definately tell a difference. Sorry if you mis-understood me.
-
I have hit both of these balls, not really knowing the difference between them. Not sure if it was just how i was swinging on the particular day that I was hitting each but I liked the X the best because it seemed like I could control the flight better.

I think you should continue to use your setup if it is comfortable for you. A guy I played with in a league a few years ago had that same open setup and just played it, knowing that if he did'nt hit it straight, it was going to fade. He was great at judging the fade. He explained the same problem of feeling "stuck" when he setup closed or even square.

I feel Phil is due, even though he has looked rough at times this year. C. Villegas would have been my second choice after his recent strong finishes but he's easy to pick now because he is leading. Heehee.

I have graded my play for last season as a C. Just could not seem to put a hole round together, whether it was bad driving but good putting, missing greans but then chipping in to save par. Very inconsistent year for me last year.
-
I would like to drop into a single digit handicap index. I would also like to be more comfortable knowing all of the rules of the game.

Hope this Ohio weather breaks early this year. My anxiety level to play some golf is rising by the hour.

A few years back, I bought a set of turbo power knock off Callaway Hawk-eye irons and had good shafts and grips put on them and I have to say they were really nice. I used them for a couple of years with no problems.
