  1. Absolutely! I'm not sure what the hell I was looking at the last time I was comparing the two. While was at the golf store today looking at them, there was an obvious difference between the tour & non-tour. Mainly the offset & sole.
  2. I am wondering the same thing! I have always loved Cleveland irons and played a set of TA3's for about 6 yrs. I was considering the new CG7's but couldn't decide between the BP Tour's with zip grooves or the regular CG7 Tour's. I honestly couldn't tell any difference between the Tour vs. non-Tour CG7's. They look identical to me even at address. Does anyone know what the differences are between the two? Any Cleveland guru's out there?
  3. +1 I just bought a bucket of 100 AAA recylced balls...I'll let you know how they work out. My assumption is they will be absolutley fine.
  4. I just picked up a pair of Nike Rejuvenate golf shoes and could not be happier! LINK At $89 they might not be considered a cheap golf shoe to some, but you can find them for $79 at GolfSmith and some other shops (didn't have my size though). I've used them twice so far and still cannot believe how comfy they are. I actually kept them on after the round during the car ride home. This was kinda weird to me since the first thing I typically do after a round is whip off my golf shoes and put on my regular kicks. My .02
  5. Wow! Those are some pretty crazy deals on balls. I think I might be making a large ball purchase in the near future.
  6. I really dig the Bridgestone j33B's. The newer CB options aren't too shabby either.
  7. I hear ya! But, if you still wanna play some more expensive alternatives, check out COSTCO.com LINK They've some some pretty good deals on two dozen packs etc...
  8. Nice purchase! I played those clubs for a couple years and absolutely loved them. I've actually still got them too! FULL set of Beryllium Copper white dot Ping Eye 2's (1 iron - L wedge). I've been thinking about selling them, but had no idea what my asking price should be. Enjoy your rounds!
  9. Harrison PRO 2.5. Yes, the ugly yellow one. ...looking into the UST Proforce V2 8800X or 9090X though, so we'll see.
  10. +1 for the SQ Tour bag. I couldn't imagine designing a better bag to fit all my needs. Honestly, this is probably going to be the last bag I ever buy. If I need a new bag, this is the one I would buy over and over again. Good luck with your decision. My .02
  11. Cleveland Tour Action Gunmetal Reg 588 54° & 60°
  12. I would say right now it's a toss up between my 54* and driver. I feel very confident from 125-->in with the 54* and love the check I get around the greens with it. However, when my driver is on, my entire game seems to change for the better.
  13. I'm a 10-finger guy myself. I've tried both interlocking and overlapping but still feel most comfortable with the 10-finger. Yes, I know the pros/cons of the 10-finger grip, but it just works for me.
  14. A bucket of range balls...the weather here in Portland SUCKS right now! LOL
  15. +1 I too noticed the most wear when practicing my chipping and wedge shots. I played my old TA3's for a good solid 4 - 5 years before I really noticed any significant wear on the faces. I still played them for another 3+ years after that, so it wasn't that bad. The PW,9 and 8 irons were the first to go south. The rest of the irons were pretty well A-OK. My .02
  16. Ya know, I don't notice the rain effecting them that much. I play golf pride multi compound grips and after about 1.5 - 2 years they tend to glaze over a bit (my experience). I lived in Sacramento for 6 years where the temps can get into the upper 90's and occasional 100's and thought my grips wore faster in that climate than the PNW. All in all, I probably play about 30% of my rounds in "wet" conditions I hope this helps a little.
  17. No where near as often as I should. I find that my grips don't wear all that quick, it's more of an issue with them losing their tack...+1 for the soap/sand paper. Works ALMOST everytime.
  18. My regret was not playing my TA3's longer. The grooves were going down hill fast, but they still felt amazing. I sold them to a buddy and picked up my Dad's Nike Forged Pro Combos...no bien. The Nike FPC were nice clubs, but the Cleveland's were AWESOME! Now I've got the old Nike Forged Blades and couldn't be happier!
  19. You mean these..... Sorry, I had to...
  20. ^ +1 Also, look at this link too ---> Adidas Tour 360 3.0 When it comes down to it, personally I think one of the last items you should skimp on is your shoes. Go too cheap and your feet are gonna be killing you. If you can find the room to spend a little more money ($75-$100) you will open up yourself to a lot more choices for a comfy shoe. My .02
  21. Good call going with "A". I think my 54 is probably one of, if not THE favorite club in my bag this past year.
  22. Nice! The CCi's are a great club too. I actually liked them better than the pro combo's. I look forward to hearing the verdict on the new sticks.
  23. I play the older Forged Blades. My dad plays the new TW blades so I've snagged them for a couple rounds.
