  1. I have played a pro-am round with Annika and she was great. We had a blast. I would choose Anna Rawson.
  2. Wow, I am not very smart.
  3. My current irons have a low launch that I would like to improve upon. They seem to be shorter than any irons I have hit the last few years as well. Not getting any younger (42) , so the low flight with shorter distances leaves me with a chip and a put almost always when approaching with 5 iron or longer. Besides that, I just have the itch. These were my clubs at a 27 HC, and now play to a 9-10 and was a 6 two years ago (back surgery 1.5 years ago). Swing is not the same since surgery and wont be. It is now 2 degrees different in lie.
  4. I have seriously been considering a new set of Irons. Was thinking about trying out the JPX 800Pro's, AP1's, and i15's. Just found someone selling a set of mx 200's on Craigslist here locally. Excellent condition 3-PW for $160. Shafts are Dynamic Gold SL. I see on True Temper site that those shafts are not a high launching shaft, but have read reviews that the clubs tend to be high launching. These are standard with lofts 2degrees strong. Thoughts? I am a 9-10 HC, and decent ball striker. Struggle with 3-4 irons. Currently play Ping i3 oversized. Thanks in advance.
  5. The issue could also be that the clubs are a bit to upright as well. You may want to hit a few off the lie board. If too upright, your swing will groove into a toe shot.
  6. I have a couple disc that needs to be fused, buut am not willing to have in done yet. Low lumbar region. I am however, going to have a partial laminectomy (trimming of a disc to relieve pressure from the nerve). Curious if any of you have had the same issues and how long you were on the sideline and unable to play golf.
  7. One of my greatest golf purchases ever.....an oddessey putter for my son, who made the 8th grade golf team today. Been playing for 3 weeks. Shot 46- 45. Not great scores but for limited time playing...outstanding.
  8. go with the e series bridgestone. $27 per dozen and you will like them. I went from 330rx to the e% and love it.
  9. i went from Clevelands to Mizuno MP T10's and I am having a hard time getting used to the fact that they are heavier. Great wedges though. You may love them. http://www.mizunousa.com/equipment.n...=10glf1-wedges http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/mizuno_..._wedges_review
  10. duh....when your old lady says it's okay ok course.
  11. great ball only $7 less or so per dozen. I play the e5 and the 330-rx
  12. Dont worry about dot color! You can ship the set back to ping at anytime and they will bend to adjust lie to any color code you want. They will also weaken or strengthen the loft. The whole set will cost you $18 total. 2 weeks from the time you send them, they will be back to you. They clean, repaint the bottom groove white, paint the numbers again and change the color code on the iron. Get the best deal you can on the set and ship them to ping. I just got mine back. I bought them 12 years ago and needed to adjust the lie from gold to orange. Best customer service in the business!
  13. I think mp-52's are too much club. Your handicap would suggest the ap-1. I dont have experience with the Nike clubs. I would be looking at ap1 or g15's.
  14. if you get the Pings, go have the lie checked at Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy. Once you know what the correct lie is for you, you can send them back to Ping and they will adjust the Lie and loft for the whole set for $18. I seriously doudt that you are red dot.
  15. loose impediment. no penalty.
  16. anyone playing these? If so can you provide some feedback. Also I cant find a pic at address. Trying to see topline. Thanksin advance.
  17. Insurance covered it, but the club couldnt be bought anymore. I had a custom Graffaloy shaft in it too. They said there was no way to prove I didnt sell it to them because they didnt track the source of bought inventory. Insurance paid me 3 times what i paid to re-buy it.
  18. i play an 14 old Taylormade 21* raylor (7 wood). I can use that thing to do whatever i want. Hit it low, high, straight, draw, fade. Funny story about that club: My clubs were stolen out of my car many years ago and insurance covered them. I couldnt find a replacement for that club and went to "Play it Again Sports" used sporting goods store. I looked in the bin of clubs, and there was my club in there. Even had my personal info on the shaft band. Talked to them about them buying stolen property. In the end, I had to buy it from them. Worth every penny.
  19. i appreciate the responses. I have been concerned that at an 8.7 index (been as low as 6.8 and high as 10.3) in the last 18 months, that players clubs may be too difficult to hit. I have always been under the impression that you need to be closer to scratch to play them consistently.
  20. Exactly what I was thinking.
  21. I am a decent ball striker. What do you choose for irons for this handicap range? I have tried the Mizuno MP 52's and didnt care for them. I have tried the i15's and the g15's but both sets I have used are too upright for my swing. Cant really give them an accurate grade because of the lie. They are about 3 degrees too upright. I play ping i3+ oversize irons now. Thanks in advance. Thinking Pings (its what I am used to) or titleist. But really open.
  22. Not the case. He should hit his handicap 20-25% of the time. the highest 50% of his scores arent even factored into the equation.
  23. Not sure why it was such a bad day for you. You scored the way an 18 handicap should on average.
  24. twice so far...........today
