  1. Mr. Inbetween on Hulu. Awesome show.
  2. This 👆🏼 If it’s not yours, leave it alone unless your ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN it’s not someone else’s.
  3. I’m in Sacramento. That storm was nuts.
  4. Grew up on “woods”, blades and balatas. Shocking that I stuck with it. Much, much harder for the average hack. 🤣 Did buy some Mizuno blades awhile back when I was playing 3/4 times a weeks. Feel is amazing but the distance loss can be punishing when you miss even by a little bit. I do remember reading something to the effect that modern balls and persimmon do necessarily get along?
  5. Walked off once... only because I had a stomach bug and was puking on the 8th hole. Stuck a tee shot on 9 (Par 3) and then left. 😉 Was winning my match too. Kinda disappointing. I would never walk off due to poor play. It happens. Best to muscle through those days and try to learn something.
  6. @iacas @boogielicious looks like you two need some folks to join you! I’ll take a look. Seems like a good program.
  7. Hey @mdl. Just my opinion and take it for the very little that it’s worth… other than Old Mac, I feel like the courses at Bandon even though they do have that “links-ish” feel, are pretty target golf oriented. Particularly Pacific. Haven’t been there in awhile so I don’t know about Sheep. Again, just my opinion. YMMV. cheers!
  8. Looks matter too! My wife rarely cares for my thoughts 😆 Snell seems to be common consensus. Winter has settled in so I’ll probably be playing “Whatever I Find” for a little bit but I’ll definitely be ordering a sample pack of the Snells.
  9. Links-ish… Old Mac. The other Bandon courses are definitely not links courses. Ton of fun tho!
  10. Spent 11 years in Seattle. I sure do miss The Home Course in DuPont!
  11. Today… played two balls on the front 9 (had the course to myself). Was hitting it pretty well so I decided to hustle through the front again. Had a 155 yard shot into a par 4. Smooth 7. Playing a half bag, even irons only… 7 iron is home in the garage! No problem, drew an 8 to about four feet and made the birdie. Just an 8 iron but I’m not one to draw the ball a lot (though I have been working on it) so this was pretty satisfying!
  12. Awesome. Thanks @billchao I actually like the Vice Drip balls. My son found one and has played the last couple rounds with it. He won’t give it to me 😂
  13. Appreciate the comments everyone. Very helpful community! @colin007 Answered one of my questions… found a Cut Blue today and played it as my second ball for 16 holes. Solid if unspectacular. Durability was not nearly as bad as what I’ve read. Flushed quite a few balls and had a couple of hairy spots but not really too bad. Also found a Vice Pro on 17 so I guess I’ll give that a try next time out! @billchao @iacas I’ll definitely give the Snell test pack a try before I go all in. BTW… if anyone is wondering, I contacted Piper re compression. Got this back… ”We’ve got the initial compression ratings back just recently. Our Blacks came in at 88 and the Golds came in at 98.”
  14. I did. Thanks! I guess I’m mostly working if anyone had any on course experiences to share. Durability, performance (unexpected or otherwise). I’m pretty zeroed in on the models I’m interested in based on data (compression, cover, etc..). Thanks! Kinda leaning towards the Vice balls too. Appreciate you mentioning Cut. Price is right for sure but sounds like durability is quite the issue.
  15. Curious… do you use any of the DTC ball brands (Vice, Snell, Cut, Piper, etc…)? If so do you have a preference and why? I like the idea and am thinking of going that route, likely Vice or Snell. But in order to get the best deal, most want you to purchase 5+ dozen. That’s a pretty big commitment. I know I could buy a dozen or a sample pack and may do so but just thought I’d see if anyone had some experiences they wanted to share. Currently playing the Z Star and/AVX for what it’s worth.
