  1. Hey! For my GCSE project i am building a swing speed indicator, which tells you your swing speed. This is what i need to get an A* at this level, but if i wanted to take it further and possibly make it into a marketable product i need to add a few more features (And make it useful!) So do you have any ideas? maybe a strike indicator? Fat, Thin, 'Perfect'??? If you have anything please put it down below! Thanks, Alex (Ball speed is one i had thought of and would that be better than swing speed?)
  2. Oops!! don't you mean an "over-the-top" swing! Thats what my brother calls it.
  3. Hi, I have an in-to-out swing, where i hit a low cutty ball flight. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to correct this, and get me hitting it straight again. Thanks!
  4. My brother has the R9 TP 8.5 deg driver, he hits nearly 300+ yards! this is still one of the best driver Taylormade do at this point in time.anyway, Taylormade are brining out a new driver called the superdeep. This is the latest model of the successful 510TP. but is a whole lot better! the price is going to be about £400. I might have a go at it and see how it goes. Also the Superdeep is more of a workable driver, therefore more distance!
  5. also, the burner plus is for a higher handicapper, the R7's are for the midrange player. R7's all the way!
  6. try gripping your right hand tighter, and/or do a bit of an in-out swing path. Another tip, keep a line from the club shaft to your arm Straight! one big long line!
  7. this is a tip my coach said once, if you hit a slice you are hitting it to hard! slow it down and you will get the same distance and you might even get a draw like i did! slow and steady, not rive at it!
  8. What is the left arm doing at set up?? meant to be in one big straight line! Also VERY open at impact!! about 45 deg!
  9. Can anyone suggest a cure for an over the top swing? thanks! And anything else i can improve on?
  10. i wasn't told to hit 3-4 inches in front of the ball, but aim for the middle of the ball! for your long irons, all you need to do is scrape the grass, not take divots!
  11. Does anybody know how to put the little rubber bits on the bottom of the stand legs back into them? i have tried but i haven't any luck! does anyone know a trick or anything that can get them back in? Thanks!
  12. I'd do it Tiger! i'm 14 and when i went of Whites for the first time I was scared, but i got used to it! all it is is that it's a bit longer, maybe a club or two more going for the green on a par 4. Just do it and THINK POSITIVE!!!
  13. This is my golf swing, I am coming over the top and slicing it alot! what is wrong with this! can someone please help me. (also i am not getting that much distance! People my age are hitting 7 irons from 150 yards, I'm hitting 5 iron! whats going wrong!)
  14. What i was told is that they would last a long time good 10 years, BUT only if you look after them! clean them regularly, and get the loft and lies checked every year! because they are made out of a weaker metal and cast irons.
  15. A few months back i picked up a Scotty Cameron Futura putter. It was amazing. alot better and feel from my old Ping Anser. Started to get better with my putting!
  16. If you hit the ball well EVERY time, you will benefit from forged and bladed clubs, recently i spent £400 on a new set of forged clubs, they are amazing! and i am a 19 handi capper! imagine if you had a low handicap!
  17. 1 that helps me is that what you put on your ball! if you get a ball marker and put a + on the ball you can align the putter up with that. i.e. ball --> +l
  18. if you have the club-face open at impact your wrists are doing something, What i was told is to start by putting your left arm and club in a straight line. Put your club inline with your left foot. (remember straight arm and wrist!) then move your shoulder and put the club-face behind the ball. Now it should be in 1 long line from the ball to you shoulder. this helped me, because i had the same problem as you!
