  1. I only have two in my current collection, but I'm sure I will add more to it in the future: Ping Scottsdale Anser remake Bettinardi Studio Stock 4 My next putter will be a custom from C&L; Hand Stamped Putters . I already have the design idea and specs that I want. I'd love to get a TP Mills or a Byron Morgan, but they aren't in the budget right now.
  2. I saw it live, and the announcers all kept saying, "Ooo, bad break. He just has to tap in this putt now and forget about it." "Okay, just tap in the putt now." "Let it go, tap in the putt." "You don't want to dwell on it like this, just tap in that putt." "The longer you stand there, the worse it gets. Just tap that putt in and move to the next hole." It was like they were begging him to move on. But he just kept standing there shaking his head.
  3. The course I play at has sand buckets on pretty much every tee box. They never get used. I rarely make a divot on the tee box, but when I do, I grab a big scoop full of sand and just fill every divot I see on the way to mine. The sand bucket is right there, people! Use it!
  4. Yeah, watching Overton and D.A. Points today was just embarrassing. Appleby was professional all day and he completely deserves the win.
  5. Funny side note. I was at the driving range today, and one of my shots hit the cart that drives around and picks up the range balls. I yelled "score" and noticed that the guy a few boxes to side of me ducked. We had a laugh afterwards.
  6. Yeah, I'm 6'2" and I tend to murder the ball too. By drowning.
  7. It's definitely either hockey or cricket. No other sports come as close to the full swing movement of golf than those two.
  8. Yeah. I would never play with pink or purple balls either. Just saying that if you don't want to lose them, that is the best colours to play with.
  9. Nah, you guys still aren't getting it. You're not talking about the same person as the OP. Go back and read the original post. The guy was a buffoon because he ACTED like a buffoon. Not because he had nice gear. The nice gear was just the icing on the cake.
  10. I'm not a great golfer as this is my first year. But I am a guy that likes owning nice stuff. Not that all of my gear is exceptional, but do I really need a $400 putter? Nope. But I sure feel good having it in my bag.

Haha! Congratulations on finally beating that tiny woman. Thump your chest with pride!
  12. I don't go looking for balls, but if I see one I'll pick it up. I prefer to play the same brand of ball all the time.
  13. If you want to be able to find your ball, you should use pink or purple balls. They are at the opposite end of the colour spectrum from green, so they will stand out the most.
  14. You don't really feel it when you cut them. The skin on a callus is pretty much dead skin anyway. You can cut a good chunk off and you won't feel it. It's kind of like cutting your finger nails.
  15. You can see both, but you can only look at one. My question was which one should you look at.
  16. If our putting green is busy I'll only take a few balls. But if there are multiple holes open, I'll take out about 9.
  17. Does the amount of majors a brand has one really matter? Serious question.
  18. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't play for money with those guys.
  19. Actually, that does look pretty good. I just wonder if there is enough room in the sand box. I would be afraid of dinging my club off the front.
  20. NICKENT! on the other hand, markets to... well, no one.
  21. My brother-in-law once forgot one of his clubs on the previous green. We were standing on the fairway waiting for the group ahead of us to clear the green when he realized he left his club behind. He decides to run back to get it. It's about a 300 yard run back, so he takes off, and I just stand there waiting for the group ahead of us. Eventually they finish on the green, and I hit my approach shot. I can't remember if I landed it on the green or not... probably not. Anyway, I'm now on the green lining up my putt when my brother-in-law comes running back up the fairway. Stops at his ball, and hits his approach shot right away. It lands on the green about 30 feet from the hole. I have now holed out and am picking up my ball. He runs up to his ball on the green, and without reading the green or taking a practice swing, goes up to his ball and putts away... and sinks it. I couldn't believe it. After running 600 yards, he hits two of his best shots all day. I told him he should run for the rest of the round. Oh, and he found his club too.
  22. Yeah, I had the exact same experience. Well, not exact, because it was the opposite for me. I went in wearing my weekend clothes of shorts, t-shirt, and sandals, and no one would help me out. But if I go into a golf shop during the week on my lunch break when I'm dressed in my office attire, I get almost mobbed.
  23. I can understand the frustation of being really good at something, and then losing your skill because you haven't been able to play as often as you used to. I think if it ever got to that point in golf, I would just stop keeping score. Just go out and enjoy the round and not focus on birdies and bogeys.
