  1. This is so true. Golf needs a concise season where one individual is the winner and that resets from 'scratch' the next year like other sports. Sure you have the traditional majors that everyone knows about but other than that its tough even for me as a golf fan to keep up with whats going on out on tour. And if a Tiger or Phil isnt winning/losing those majors in a fashion thats exciting to watch pretty much nobody cares.
  2. If my daughter were to date or marry someone in a situation remotely similar to Tiger Woods', I would not be naive enough to believe that he was faithful. I wouldn't raise my daughter to be that naive either. I think i've got great family values thank you very much. Im not a Tiger worshipper, Im realistic.
  3. Kill Tiger? For what? Living the life of a billion dollar superstar? Im betting most guys would have a difficult if not impossible time turning down that much tail. Sure he shouldn't have ever gotten married but c'est la vie. She will be allright. Obviously whatever ridiculous amount of money Tiger will pay her has to do with keeping any more skeletons from falling out of the closet. Prenup or not he's gotta cough up the dough. He will be happy to know that Elin is tucked away in her new Swedish castle as far away as possible from any media for the rest of her days.
  4. Anywhere except sand within 75 yards and in I am using a 60*. I love using it for full shots, chips, flops, bump and runs, you name it. The only problem is from bunkers I tend to get too far underneath the ball with the 60* so in that instance I use my sandwedge for bounce purposes.
  5. I've never eagled a hole. End of last summer I had the perfect chance after booming a drive right down the fairway I pured my 3 wood and it rolled up to about 5 feet. You know the rest
  6. Thats pretty funny Lately i have been working on one of two swing thoughts when I go out to play. Number one is just to make a nice turn and follow through. The other is to let my hips lead me into the downswing. Everything else I leave at the range. I've been striking the ball much better on the course since eliminating all the thoughts illustrated here lol.
  7. My wife does not play golf. She occasionally expresses interest in it but she doesnt have the patience or the drive to practice much. I have taken her out with me to chip and putt a few times but she gets bored quickly and wants to leave. Also, there is no way I can give her swing tips...I've learned that one the hard way! So now when she states that she wants to play I tell her feel free to go get some lessons which keeps her quiet for awhile. I always tell people that its a win win situation for me, if she decides to play we will go out and have fun together, if not then I get some time away out on the course
  8. Im guessing 285
  9. I recently shortened my stance quite a bit with driver. I find that it helps me stay balanced better through impact and follow through so I like it. Of course I previously used a very wide stance with driver. I think you can lose stability if you go too wide or too narrow. Just have to practice until you find what stance suits you best.
  10. When Tiger was in his prime he was easily the best golfer ever to tee it up.
  11. A box of Bridgestone e5 golfballs
  12. The move that drives me crazy is the pump fake that gets the defender to jump, and then the offensive player jumps into the defender with the foul getting called on the D? Don't see how that makes sense!?!?!
  13. I wonder why he doesn't sport a prosthetic? Would think he would get even more stabilization that way.
  14. Well if this thread is any indicator, the show will probably be quite entertaining! I can't stand Rush myself but to each his own... If I saw the show on I may check it out for a few minutes.
  15. I've never thought of hanging them up in the middle of a round. Playing through the 'adversity' of blow up holes, and missed shots or putts is something that I am always working on. I know those holes are coming but afterwards I have to walk to the next tee box and vanish the last hole or shot from my mind. For me this is the difference betweeen carding an 84 versus a 90. The only way I'd walk off the course is due to injury or weather.
  16. My best shot this week came out of the sand on my 3rd to get up and down for par. I was having a really tough round with 2 previous blowup holes and had left one in the sand earlier in the day. Out of this quarter to half buried lie I just sprayed it out to under 2 feet despite the tricky pin placement. Sank the putt and my confidence went up a couple of points.
  17. I work at a driving range. Just finishing my degree in Environmental Science and Chemistry with which i hope to teach someday. I've been viewing the forums on my phone when out on the tractor so I finally joined, hello all.
