  1. exactly....dynamic fittings outdoor are the only way to go! I fit a guy who was 5'6" +1/2 inch and 1* upright and he's never hit the ball better. Every big box retailer looked at him and said he didnt need to be fit because they knew his specs would be -1/2inch and 2*flat.
  2. if you have the option, get fit outdoors with a launch monitor. There's no substitute for outdoor fittings and being able to see true ball flight combined with hard numbers. I dont know how many times we've received complaints from golfers that were fit indoors only to say they cant hit the ball like they did indoors, into the simulator, etc. If you're looking for a new driver, dont just be locked into one brand, etc. You should be able to try a number of different drivers to determine which one is ultimately the best for you (shaft, loft, head, length, flex, etc.). Good luck
  3. X20 tours are awesome...just be careful with the project x shafts. They frequency out very stiff! We put a set on our machine and while the CPM spread was not that far apart between the irons, they came out at a XXX flex!!!! We also freq a set of x20 graphite regs which came out to an A flex and an inconsistent spread between the irons. Fyi...this happens all the time with OEMs...not just one particular brand. It's kind of scary, but it is what it is. Typically if it's that bad, we'll pull the shafts and redo them completely. We spec all of our fitting irons and if they dont match what they should be, we pull the shafts and redo them.
  4. The reason why the 425 is staying at 399.99 is b/c it's staying in the line for 07. The 460 while still in the line for now will no longer be produced...it will be phased out due to the superquad. Some people cant stand the 460cc heads....the 425 will serve that purpose.
  5. excellent shoe... I wore them mid january when I played in hawaii for 2 rounds and absolutely wonderful. No need for break-in and the lace system works very well. It was so easy and no interference with the mechanism on the heel of the shoe. 2 thumbs up!
  6. good teachers are hard to come by, but they do exist. You have to have a good understanding of how the pro is working with you and what they are suggesting, changing, etc. Video analysis is great, but it's not always needed if the instructor can get you in the correct plane, etc. with certain exercises that give you muscle memory. Re:golftec, i've heard mixed reviews..but everyone that I know that's done it, has ended up going back to a pro that teaches outdoors. With all the latest technology/gadgets, etc., anyone can become a teaching pro. I think you end up spending more time looking at your swing on computer and analyzing what it should look like, than you actually hit and try to physically correct your flaws.
  7. we got them in today. The sound is still very very loud! I thought that NIKE might dampen the sound, but it was the same loud clank from when I tried it out a while back. I took it out in the frigid morning and hit about 10 shots. It definitely works as advertised. long and straight. A number of customers around me complained that it was too loud and obnoxious. I would certainly agree on the sound.
  8. Good luck... keep us posted on how you enjoyed the fitting (i dont think they use any launch monitors...at least not when I was there) and which irons you decided to go with. They have a beautiful facility!
  9. multi compound grips are the most difficult grips to install. You must use a lot of solvent. Doesn't have anything to do with size..just the inner lining of the grip is super sticky.
  10. Both are great drivers. Try them both and get fitted. If you go with the R7, go with the standard R7 460. You're talking a difference of 30.00 between that and the R7 460 Draw. Good luck!
  11. Good Article...that's the same launch monitor technology that we use. It gives us the ability to see true ball flight combined with LM data.
  12. you need to provide more information on your swing, tempo, swing speed, shot pattern, trajectory, etc., etc. before anyone can make recommendations.
  13. Play more golf : being in the business... really does make it hard for me to get out and play....as the saying goes... if you love to play golf stay out of the business!!

  15. excellent iron set! Very forgiving...Slightly more so than the MX23...and a full forged head. Very easy to work the ball and still get excellent feedback. Definitely one of the best irons and golf club manufacturers around...Although the warranty department/customer service could be a little better. I play the MP60s and absolutely love them. You should also look at the Srixon I506 forged clubs. Excellent product with a no-upcharge option for Rifle Project X, Nippon NS950 and now aerotech Steel Fiber shafts.
