  1. I use a skycaddie and it is awesome.. I would recommend it and it is only $30 a year and totally worth it!
  2. 6.5 is X flex 6.0 is a little stiffer than a normal stiff flex would be 5.5 is closer to stiff than regular
  3. Just got my new mizuno mp-68's w/ project x 6.0 shafts.. i am in love with them
  4. Thanks everyone!
  5. A little north of $300. But our club picks up half of it!
  6. hole in one today from 135 yards!!!
  7. Hey guys I was playing in our club championship today and I got my first hole in one on our 11th hole! The feeling was amazing! Used a pitching wedge from 135 yards and landed it in front of the hole and it bounced once and hit the pin... then fell into the cup! I want to hear about other people's first holes in one and what was going through your head.
  8. Whatever you do, buy a used club. After you improve your game, then start looking to buy some new clubs.
  9. I usually hit my 7i about 185. I just take a nice easy swing without thinking about killing it.
  10. I use to have a 19* taylormade rescue that I hit 230 yards but it sounds like you should look into a hybrid between 17-19 degrees. check out ebay for some really good deals. Hybrids are easier to hit than fwy woods for a lot of people.
  11. Skycaddie is only 30 bucks a month and it is by far the best gps unit i have used. If you are willing to dish out $30 a year get a skycaddie!!
  12. Thanks everyone. I am going to get fitted next week!
  13. I need the opinion of those smarter than me about irons. I have been playing the same set since I was 11 but I want to put new shafts in them (Project X 6.0) now. If i am going to spend a couple hundred on shafts, should I just spend the extra money and get fitted for a new set? Don't know if being fitted will improve my game and i am playing well right now. All comments welcome. Thanks in advance.
  14. Couldn't agree more that that shows a lack of character
  15. You just gotta shake your head at a guy like that. I used to play with a friend who always lied on his scorecard when we played. Since he was my friend I didn't want call him out on it at first because if he got mad it would just ruin the whole round. After a couple rounds I asked him what his hanicap was and his response was, "I am usually a +1.2, but I am just in a slump lately." I called him out on that and said "Bull$hit" and haven't played with him since because it is frustrating to play with someone who can't even be honest. And i gotta say it has been more fun without him :)
  16. Definately take the money and buy the Titleist AP2 irons!
  17. If he is hitting his irons better than his hybrid go with the 3 iron. I used a 3 iron up until a year ago and switched to a hybrid because i hit it better. If he feels he hits irons better then hybrids, and you can tell by watching him play, go with the 3-L set.
