I actually use the 588 56 and 60 degree tour action in gun metal. Looks really nice. Plays very good good too. got the 56 as a gift and bought the 60 for next to nothing. changed the grip and was good to go.

Hi Pez. I know what you mean. I am a beginner as well and I was looking to get a decent set of irons that would not break the bank. My irons were very inexpensive and i havent been able to find any bad reviews on them. Here is a set i found by doing a search. they are similar to the ones i bought only i didnt purchase from that site and i didnt get the two free wedges. Wie should be allowed to play on pga as long as Tiger is allowed to play lpga. More power to her, but i never agreed with allowing her to play with the big boys. Tiger should be allowed to play lpga just for giggles.When he dominates both leagues, lpga players will think twice about trying to make the cut for pga. I am all for equality, but she doesnt desreve to be there, she looks ridiculous (have you seen her pouting face on golfchannel.com), as she is TOTALLY out of her league. Atleast if she were competitive, but she consistently fails to make the cut. Just my 2 cents and im sure im going to gt burned for my comments! LOL

Thats really cool. I actually got a starter set for my 9 year old (driver, hybrid, 5, 7, & 9 iron, sand wedge and putter). He has been at it for 3 months now. i wish i would have gotten him started earlier. I have been getting him lessons and signed him up for Sunday clinics at the course. He likes it but i think he is overwhelmed. (just like dad!) I actually started taking it more seriuosly after he started. Now my wife is into it. We look at it as a family thing.

Cant really judge anybody i dont know. One thing i do know is i wished i played as well as any of them. They all have their style, they are all unique. It would be a pretty boring sport if we all played the same way or acted the same. you must respect to be respected. just my 2 cents.

Hello all. I am sure we all faced this question when starting. I chose to go with decent equipment and spend the rest of my money on lessons. No sense in spending outrageous money on equipment and not know how to even grip the club. Lord knows i need the lessons!!! Has anyone tried (and is willing to admit it) inexpensive equipment and found it to be either just as good or very close to the expensive ones? What was the least expensive club you bought that seemed to perform like an expensive one. Kindest Regards, J
