  1. Wow Erik. You guys are really tough on me. Really must not like Michael Jordan, the Bulls, Chicago, or me. I’ll stick with my opinion. Have a nice day
  2. Okay. Then I’ll go with Michael Jordan during the NBA Championships. Hahahaaha.
  3. Who, in your opinion, would you say dominated a sport like Nadal at the French Open?
  4. If you only look at the French Open then you’d say Nadal. But if you look at Slams, ATP Masters and World Finals, and ATP rankings the data would say Djokovic over Nadal But want to talk about an athlete dominating a sport? Michael Jordan.
  5. What about one of these? It’s a set of clear pockets each pocket being 6.5”x4.5”
  6. What do you mean about not enough shots plotted? I thought that MyStrategy was superimposing your club / shot data onto the course. From the website To start creating your very own strategy, select your club. Detailed statistics on your chosen club will appear on the left of the screen including shots to finish and a distance breakdown. [snip ] Once a club has been chosen, players will see a dispersion cone based on player averages. The option to tailor the dispersion cone to your tendency is available, provided you have recorded enough shots. Simply toggle on the dispersion tendency feature to receive a cone that allows for your natural miss and adjust your aim point accordingly. Similarly, players will also be able to turn on the shots plotted feature to further visualise their dispersion.
  7. @Ty_Webb one thing that I’ve noticed is that I need to refuel along the way. I tried a variety of things from Gatorade, hot dogs (haha), peanut butter crackers etc. For me I’ve found that a bite or two of an “energy bar” (like GoodRx, Kind, etc) every couple of holes and water seems to help finish strong. I’ve also added treadmill time as one of my cardio workouts. On treadmill I try to target a walking pace that I can hold for about 5-6 miles.
  8. Can someone confirm my understanding of ShotScope senors please. Since ShotScope tech doesn’t rely on batteries is it okay to leave clubs handles pointing up when not in use (unlike Arrcos and Garmin)? Thanks in advance
  9. I walk and cart about equally throughout the season, and my scores stay pretty much the same. But there are some differences. When I walk, it forces me to slow down between shots and clear my head. I also have more time thinking about my next shot. I tend to lose energy around 16 so I’m trying to find ways of staying fueled up without being heavy. When I ride it takes me a bit longer to “settle in” and my front nine is always rougher than my back nine. I also wonder if I cool down between shots since I’m just sitting in the cart.
  10. @klineka Appreciate the honesty. How long are the sessions? What makes them boring? I thought the system has a set program in terms of what to do each session. Is Neural your next “step” or does the system allow you to mix things up a bit? Thanks in advance
  11. @Arizona this year I focused on aim and distance to the center of the green as well. I think this strategy goes back to at least Jack Nicklaus or Harvey Pennick. But it really increased my success on approach shots and putting. On a similar note, when I’m putting before playing I’m only focused on pace and distance. I don’t try to out the ball into holes. I’m just trying to get a sense of the speed of the greens.
  12. Okay. The season is starting to slow down here in Chicago, and I was only able to squeeze in five rounds with the ShotScope X5 — although we still have some time left. While it’s not perfect (as we all know), it fits my needs really well and I enjoy the amount of data it collects and interprets. There is definitely a bit of “garbage in garbage out” so being able to edit a round is really helpful. So “Thank You” for everyone’s thoughts on this thread. Very much appreciated.
  13. Actually. I was thinking the shorter length could make things interesting for the PGA guys because their course management would take on a very different view. Besides driving a green or two, par fours and fives could be fun to watch
  14. I wish I could. But truly the grips I have now are getting caught and it’s very annoying
  15. I enjoyed seeing Lexi Thompson play on the same level as the men and doing really well. She didn’t embarrass herself, and if anything showed that men and women could compete on equal footing. Hopefully this raises awareness of golf for everyone, and also dispels the myth that men are better golfers. I’ve met a handful of guys who think they could beat LPGA players. Doubtful. As to the women have their own Association, I think it would be great if they invited a PGA player to play in a women’s tournament.
