If they invite her back next year they are going to have to call the show "Really Big @ss Break"
-
I wouldn't worry about it - you didn't hit them and you were 20-25 yards away from them - I have no idea why they would get mad at that unless they thought you were going for the green.

And the main course in the book "Missing Links" by Rick Reilly

Sophie is FAR from the sexiest woman in golf, as a matter of fact, I would say that she is close to a dog. There is absolutely nothing attractive about her.
-
Yes I crack the window and leave them in the car. (This is a joke!)

Agreed, Lori's game doesn't seem to be holding up.

Steve Pate, Dudley Hart, Pat Perez All known for their volatility Then again I would love to have Greg Norman there just so I could watch him get his ass kicked.

Sam didn't seem to have any issues with Christina and I don't remember anyone else really saying much. For Lori to say that Christina acted immature was just plain ridiculous. Christina did the right thing in taking the high road and ignoring the catiness. Seemed like Lori was trying awful hard at breakfast to make up for her poor behavior too. I also find that Sophie's lack of etiquette on purpose was rather hypocritical and uncalled for. You could tell that Christina did not want to be there any longer and was just beat down mentally. That HAS to have an affect on your game. I just hope that Kim (and her legs) beat the hell out of both Lori and Sophie. A Lori/Sophie finale would be most distasteful.

I personally am glad that Christina has not stooped to Lori's level and given her the satisfaction of saying anything. Seems like it is exactly what Lori wants. I think her actions say enough.

I think working the ball is a very important aspect of being a good player. Just thinking about the holes on my course that require you to hit a draw or fade off the tee alone makes it important. And the whole fact of being able to work the ball out of trouble brings in a whole new dimension, especially to saving par.

"Missing Links" is the best golf book ever written. The follow up "Shanks for Nothing" is equally hilarious. I need to read Who's Your Caddy but have never gotten around to it. Check out his first column on ESPN, pretty much the basis for "Missing Links". http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3433689

Johnny Miller is a little full of himself, not to mention his voice is just plain annoying. I take anything he says, when I am listening, with a grain of salt. And I brought it up last year, anyone (Miller) who thinks that the single strap on a golf bag should make a comeback because it looks "jaunty", needs a serious reality check. I will take Strange and Tirico over Miller any day.

I am wondering why we didn't hear more about this story. Just a good positive one.

I am going to say that it was a teeing ground since it is where they started playing the hole. That divot area was not part of her intended area to swing, she was playing well in front of that. I do agree that teeing area is rather vague though. Bottom line is that Lori is petty and mean-spirited. She seems to have an obvious infatuation with Christina and I don't blame Christina for ignoring everyone else and just trying to play her game. She was not trying to get caught up in the garbage as much as Lori was trying to drag her down. Glad Sophie beat her but whoever said it was correct, she p*ssed off her last friend there. I just hope Christina gets her next week.

I was eating my lunch when I read this......made me stop eating, maybe forever.

I don't know rudy, I just think of that episode with Lori and Sophie sitting in the confession room and smirking and poking fun. I think the producers want Lori to be the bad guy and Sophie is the toadie in a way. Who knows though?

Just saw this tip the other day and had it here on my desk for people who scoop the ball and get under it. I have the same problem at times. - Try this drill: Swing an iron with your left arm only. Make a full swing with just your left arm and note how your left wrist stays flat and does not break at impact. Place your right hand on the club aand swing while keeping the feeling of your left wrist in mind. This will ensure that you hit down with a solid left side rather than scooping the ball. Seems to make sense to me.

Well she does have those big eyes and that jutting jaw. Oh well, just me I guess.

Big Break is the only thing I look forward to on TV these days so I am going to suffer this week I guess. rudygu, I have to disagree with you on Sophie in terms of rooting for her. She gives me nothing to like with her scarves and Fidel Castro style hats. And she could pack groceries in the bags under her eyes. She seems one step above Lori in the "cat" factor too. But you are so right, she seems to be very unflappable. I have a feeling Susan is the next to go though. BTW, does Christina remind anyone else of Keira Knightly or is it just me?

Practice - Every year I say I am going to do it and so far this year I have failed to do it. I live 6 minutes from my club and I have been down 2 times to practice. My putting goes hot and cold and my driver goes hot and cold as well. Those are the 2 things I really need to work on to become more consistent. I have also been working on driving through the ball with my left side/hip more and that has made a huge difference in committing to the shot, distance and control. Playing - The past few years I have only been able to play once a week (2 kids, 3 years and 18 months). I have it so that I can play on Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings now and I have only taken advantage of that twice. Overcoming bad habits - I could have titled this "thinking positive". There always seems to be the same holes that I screw up on and it is in my head. Instead of thinking, don't hit it left here, concentrate on the positives and hit it where I want it to. Score low - Joined a new club last year and have yet to break 80 there as it is much more difficult that the previous course. I would love to go low there and I have squandered a bunch of opportunities to do so. Handicap - See all of the above and if successful with those - I could achieve the 7 handicap I would like.

I saw the previews but I don't recall what the rules thing was. Can anyone jog my memory?

Golf World had a quote from Lori in this past issue and indicated that she was an ex-cocaine addict as well. Yeah mruseless, I thought of that earlier, Lori is now all against Christina and I find her comments a little more than back stabbing.
-
I cannot stand Lori, she is a first class hypocrite. She almost seems to be nice to Christina and then talks to the others behind her back. Her "stinkeye" comment was childish. She and Sophie sat in the confessional with those smug little looks on their faces. (And what's up with Sophie, I have seen smaller bags (under her eyes) at the airport) I think Kim can play but just seems to not get tough mentally at times. Susan knows no fear as they say and I love Chistina's intensity. I am so bummed that Sam is gone now too. First Liz, then Tina, then Courtney, then Sam. I am hoping that Lori gets the big boot real fast. I don't know if it is the producers doing it or if she just makes herself unlike-able.

Played in a scramble last weekend which my team won at -6. Luckily, I was set up with 3 hacks who seemed to play fairly well that day. One of them had a $30 K-Mart driver that he was hitting down the middle after the 4th hole (worked the kinks out) so it allowed me to relax and smack it. One of the other guys stopped hitting drives and iron shot after the 8th hole since his back hurt so badly but he was a putting machine for us. It cost me $42 to play and I walked away with a dozen Pro V1s, $75 in gift certificates, countless coupons for food and movies, an umbrella. Made out quite well and it was fun. Proceeded to shoot 84 the next day at my home course playing on rock hard greens. Basically had to take one less club to hit into every green since they were going to bounce and run when they hit.
