from what ive been told, the reverse K has much more to do with the right shoulder being lower than the left at address. this basically forces the hips forward slightly, and causes the flex in the right knee. i know this doesnt answer your initial question, but it helped me when i finally got it.

Cutting 1" Off My Standard Length Irons?
huskyhacker replied to grn.eyed.bandit's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
couple things: 1. check the swingweights. i had the same issue. i took 1 inch of my irons, and the swingweights went down to C2 in some cases. i went to winn lite grips, added some tape, adn now its better than ever. 2. always check the lie angles. thats one of the most important things. take many many swings, so you get a good average. 3. im a bit taller 5'9", but i drop my hands low, so i play at 2* flat, and 1.25 short now. 4. driver at 44". works great -
Do you match name brands in your bag?
huskyhacker replied to jmanbooyaa's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
All PING here. occasionally i go through a different putter phase (machine, odyssey, YES!, lajosi, bettinardi, mills, nike, rife).....but since i picked up my scottsdale pickemup (best putter ever !!!), im all PING again. i wish they made balls. p.s. i am the guy you see that has the PING clubs, shirt, hat, etc..... -
lol.....this is hillarious !! well done

ok.....after some buying, selling, moving & shaking..... i now have...... Ping Scottsdale Pickemup Ping Redwood Anser Ping Karsten Anser 2 Ping Scottsdale Half Pipe Yes! Donna Yes! Tracy Bettinardi BB27 Nike Method 004 Rife 460 Mid Mallet Machine Custom Byron Morgan Custom Odyssey WH 2-Ball And i have ordered, but not yet received...... Ping Karsten 1959 Anser X Lajosi BM3 Custom C & L Custom After far more testing than the last post (many hours daily), i have decided that the Scottsdale Pickemup is the best putter in the known universe !!!! im 3-5 putts per round less with this thing. i love it !!!

im in an experimental phase with putters right now. i have.... PING Redwood Anser PING Karsten Anser 2 PING Scottsdale Pickemup Odyssey 2-Ball Bettinardi Studio Stock 1 YES! Donna NIKE Method 004 Rife 460 Mid Mallet Machine Custom Byron Morgan Custom i think i like the custom Machine, YES! Donna, and the PING Pickemup best right now. i went cold with the putter during the middle of this season, and i had to experiment like crazy to try and get my stroke back. its been tough, but i think the Machine is the best i have.

i think its worth it. for me, i feel i get more centered hits with it done. less twisting the wrong way during the swing. it might be all in my head, but ive been playing much better since i had it done (to all my clubs), so im happy with it.

my I-15 is 40.25. so not too far off

i added a GW (52) a few months back, and it has been really helpful. to fit it in the bag, i got rid of the 4 iron, which was the most difficult club in the bag to use anyways. i love having 4 wedges, because 80% of the game is played from 125 and in....and the more options, and less gaps, the better.

last season i went to the double overlap grip. i put my finger on the space between my ring/middle fingers, instead of between the pinky/ring fingers. i helps me feel more connected to the club, and helps the wrists stay inactive

Switching to graphite shafts?
huskyhacker replied to Arthur's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
my graphite shafts are the same length that my steel shafts were, and it has worked out great. it knocked about 20g off the weight, and has definitely added distance. with my SS (96), thats important. i havent lost accuracy either....in fact, i find i get moe control with the graphite. -
Graphite shafts for irons?? Who uses them??
huskyhacker replied to SandSpanker's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
it shouldnt break. i use graphite shafts in my irons, and ive added TONS of distance !!! with your swing speed, you may not need them (im 96 mph), but it sure wouldnt hurt to try. im of the opinion that most men dont do it because they dont see the guys on tour doing it.....however, matt kuchar uses aerotech shafts, and he's doing damn well. give it a try. -
you could try, but im not sure. i know for fact that the alcohol wipes works perfectly.
-
if the light putter works for you, then stick with it. lead tape on the bottom, lead powder (no idea where you would get it), or whatever else if it doesnt. if it was me, i would try it for a few rounds first. if you dont like it, you can remove the grip and stuff in the lead powder later. grips are not forever.....like diamonds :)

i have about 10 of my clubs gripped white. what ive learned is to use alcohol wipes ($3 at wal mart) after every 5 rounds or so. works like a dream. they look like brand new after a cleaning.

i took my redwood answer from 35 to 32.25, and its fine. for a grip, i recommend Iomic Absolute. best ive ever used.

are they any good ??? ive heard the ozik is a good one, but i dont know much about the others. im interested in the Studio series, and the MFS series ? does anyone have experience with these, or know about them ? thanks

im looking into a lighter hybrid shaft for a 21*, and i would like something around 55-65g. its tough to find one that light for a hybrid though. couple questions: 1. can it be done ?? (driver shaft in a hybrid) 2. how would that change the shafts composition ? (would all the cutting for length make a reg flex too stiff?) obviously i would have to make the tips match, but otherwise ?

Ping G-15 (198g) Aldila NVS 45 shaft (45g) Winn Lite grip (20g) 45.75" im not sure the swingweight, but its ridiculously light. i havent had it weighted since the new shaft was installed.

Question for those using a 'mixed iron' set....
huskyhacker replied to kingface12's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i sometimes play the G15 long irons (4-5-6), with the I15 short irons (7-8-9-P). not always, but sometimes. sometimes i find it nice to have that extra forgiveness in the long irons when my game feels a little off, or if i know i dont need to work the long irons as much. -
the redwood anser is the best putter ive ever used. the differences between the redwood, and the karsten is weight, and feel. the redwood is much heavier, and softer off the face. i have both, and i love the karsten...but i REALLY love the redwood
-
i just switched to a PING Redwood anser (amazing putter !!!) before that, a PING Karsten Anser 2 (excellent, redwood is the only one better) before that, odyssey white hot 2-ball before that, nike something (cant remember the name) the Redwood is BY FAR the best putter ive ever used.
