To buy the R11 or not to buy the R11
HAVOC replied to Dr. Slice's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
that was at the driving range the real test is on the course -
hmmm where to start well you hit the ball start by changing your grip place a small beachball or soccer ball between your arms and work on staying connected work on the 3-9 drill and focus on keeping your right arm straight this should be enough for about 2wks
-
not bad work on staying connected (hands/shoulders move as one) that will also help opening the club face on your back swing and will slao flatten your swing out plus you need to hit a ball everybodys swing looks better swinging at air

he wont be missed

I like what Tom Wishon had to say http://www.iseekgolf.com/clubfittingandrepairs/7313-angle-of-attack-its-role-in-fitting A few selected charts from the article (since pasting the entire article isn't cool): Quote (Tom Wishon article linked above) : Player Ball Speed Launch Angle Spin Rate Angle of Attack Driver Loft Carry Distance Charles Howell III 172mph 7.0° 2800rpm -5° 11.5° 278yds Charles Howell III 174mph 12.8° 2100rpm +5° 8.0° 306yds Quote (Tom Wishon article linked above): Optimal Driver Launch Parameters for Maximum Carry Distance Clubhead Speed (mph) Angle of Attack (degrees) Ball Speed (mph) Launch Angle (degrees) Spin at Launch (rpm) Carry Distance (yards) Dynamic Loft at Impact (degrees) Probable Driver Loft 75 -5° Down 105 14.1 3170 145 17.1 23 75 0° Level 107 16.1 2690 156 18.6 19 75 +5° Upward 109 18.9 2310 167 21 15 90 -5° Down 129 10.6 3130 195 13.1 19.5 90 0° Level 131 13.4 2700 208 15.4 15.5 90 +5° Upward 132 16.0 2210 221 17.7 11.5 105 -5° Down 153 8.0 3060 243 10.1 14.5 105 0° Level 155 10.7 2520 259 12.3 12 105 +5° Upward 156 13.8 2070 274 15.2 10 120 -5° Down 177 5.7 2880 291 7.4 12 120 0° Level 178 9.0 2430 309 10.4 10 120 +5° Upward 179 12.1 1910 326 13.2 8 -

Those of us that live in places with a cold season understand all too well how the cold affects our golf games. For one, ball flight is going to be shorter because cold air is more dense and creates more drag on the ball. Depending on how cold it is, you might see a decrease in distance of a club or two. Equipment expert Frank Thomas says that for every degree that temperature increases, there is about one foot of added carry. So, playing in 50 degree weather will give almost 7 yards of additional carry over 30-degree playing conditions. Many players like to keep an extra ball in their pocket to keep it warm to be able to swap their “live” ball out between each hole. But did you know that this may be having little or no effect? According to an article at Golf.com, a golf ball’s optimum playing temperature is around 80 degrees. That refers to the temperature of the ball itself, not to the weather at the time. At that temperature, golf balls will provide the highest amount of compression off the club face. In addition to that, consider another cold weather fact that Thomas provides: golf balls take about 6 hours to reach ambient temperature all the way to their core. What this means is that if you store golf balls in your trunk in the cold weather, rotating one in your pocket each hole is not doing you any good because the core is still going to be cold well after your round is over. Those mis-hits are still going to sting and you won’t be maximizing the playability of the ball. The best approach is to store your golf balls indoors where the temperature is much more warm. Then, rotating them in your pocket will help delay the ball’s temperature dropping to match the outdoor temperature, assuming the inside of your pocket is reasonably warm. There’s also always the option of using one of those hand warmer things in your pocket which, of course, is a violation of the Rules of Golf.

the ball is teed up 3" already (i use 3 3/4" tees) and when my swing is over the tee is only about 2" high so i know im pushing the tee into the ground as far as teeing it farther up its allready on my right toe
-
i wish the ball had a slight ballon effect when i hit it its like rocket taking off but dies and falls to the earth like a rock the height of my ball is only 30yds high but it does travel what else had him puzzled was i was hitting straight or with a slight draw and in the center of the club what my swing coach was saying i might be coming over the top slightly because my club at the top of my swing is inbetween my shoulder and neck causing a steep attack on the ball ill try and post a few swings fri and see if you can see whats going on
