Hello, everyone!
Actually the name of the topic pretty much says it all. Which course do you think has the best greens on the planet? By best I mean fastest and with most varied sloping and brakes.

Any ideas are highly appreciated.

Point O Woods CC Benton Harbor, MI

former long time host of the Western Amateur. I remember playing there and the greens were stimped at 13 and they had some funky rolling greens. Could be the best greens on the planet. Besides being ultra fast they were also green and perfect visually.

Hello, everyone!

The fastest greens do not necessarily make them the "best" greens.

Perhaps the topic should have been most 'challenging' greens or merely 'fastest' greens?

you are right, trying to determine what golf course has the "best" greens is a task in itself seeing as how conditions of greens are always changing. It is hard, however, to argue with the praise professional golfers have given Oakmont's greens for decades.

Augusta National and Pine Valley -- a tie. Different, but perfect in each case for the tracks. For me, the question is what could one do to make a green better, and each green on these two courses is a unique and perfect match for the hole. Disagreement is fine, but that is my thought.

Why bring up another euphemism for masturbation? Oh ... you meant Shinnecock.
