Went out today and walked 18 on my home course.  Here's the results:

My putting averaged around 38 the past year, but today on the first round out with the new Seemore putter, I had 35 putts, but felt like my putting was even more improved.  I forgot to place the order with a midsize grip, which is what I was fitted for and got the standard size grip which just didn't feel good in my hands but I still putted better.  Can't wait to get the grip swapped out.  The Seemore was incredibly easy to align and my speed was much better than with my old Taylormade putter.

Wedges were for the most part pretty good, I chipped quite a few to kick-in distance.  But I did have one hole where I duffed 2 wedge shots in a row and ended up with double bogey because of it.  I still think I am not aggressive enough with short pitches and chips, leaving longer than reasonable putts.

Irons were struck decently for the most part, but my alignment still sucked.

Fairway Woods started out horribly, I was stabbing every one in the ground at first but they picked up considerably in the back 9.

My driving was still absolutely horrendous, I didn't order the new driver expecting the R-11S prices to come down considerably with the release of the R-1, so I didn't expect much.  I hit 5 Wood for the majority of the day and hit 50% fairways, missing 2 because the 5 Wood wasn't long enough to reach the actual fairway and landed just short in the 1st cut.  Hopefully with the new fitted driver, I can actually start working on it to get the length, which will help my GIRs since I won't be hitting longer irons into the greens.

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
    • Oh yea, now I remember reading about you on TMZ!
