Hi everyone, I had a question about the clubs I have now and ones I may purchase. Right now I have TaylorMade clubs they RAC'S with a a R7 driver. Don't know if I should keep the irons and upgrade my Driver and putter or purchase a whole new set of Tour Edge HP20'S with everything including the bag. I guess I'm asking which clubs are better.

Tough to say, I'm not familiar with the Tour Edge HP20 package set but if you go through a fitting, I'd say a new driver would probably work out better for you.

Sorry what do you mean by fitting?

What he means is to have your swing speed measured.  Also get static measurements of your hands and wrist to floor measurements.  These are used as a starting point to fit you up.  You would normally at a good fitting hit some balls and the fitter looks at your ball flight and makes a further detemination on length lie and so on.  A few hits off a lie board would also be done.

These are all things looked at during a fitting.  Having clubs fitted to your swing and playing level are very important.

Yeah, going into a golf store, getting your speed measured, getting on a launch monitor and seeing what driver/shaft/loft combo works best.

    • Day 5- Slow,  short swings with short practice club.
    • Lemme guess….’ We don’t want any confrontation so nobody says anything.’ Sheesh…..Call him out and fix the problem.
    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
