I'm heading to Atlanta at the end of April to visit my brother. On my last visit we played Stone Mountain, Woodmont and Durham Lakes. Any suggestions? Also has anyone played at the Standard Club?

I don't know what kind of courses you would be looking to play, but here are some suggestions which are pretty solid with reasonable price tags, and usually some good conditions.

Great course and wont kill your wallet. Its a Palmer course. Some really impressive holes, and definitely challenging. Fast greens, elevation changes, rolling fairways. A bit of a drive to get there, but not terrible.

Also, there are two courses at stone mountain. Did you play both?

And finally, check out Lake Spivey.
really fun layout with 27 holes.

Where in Atlanta does your brother live? There are lots of great courses here but it will help to know where you are staying.

Midtown. So we are centrally located.

Here are a couple more to cosider

The Heritage Club in Tucker. About a 15 minute drive from midtown. Fun course, in good shape, and not very expensive.

Bears Best in Suwanee. About a 35 minute drive to the NE. Great layout, great service, and a good value.

Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville. About a 45 drive straight north. Always in great shape, challenging, and a good course to treat yourself if you can't play East Lake!

Looks like The Frog has made everyone's list so we are gonna give it a go. My brother likes Cobblestone so I think that is one we are going to play too.
