Ok. First off I have to say that in the past I've been anti-Scotty. I really do want to go back to a more traditional putter and I agree that a Scotty is "for life". I don't mind paying a little more for something I'll use forever and be proud of. That said, I've been looking at Bettinardi, C&L;'s 350 Milled, and Scotty Cameron (of course). Each of the three make an extremely high quality product. I'm stuck with the decision now, but I'm narrowing it down.

So this is my question:
What's the difference, besides design and color, between a Studio/Studio Select and a Circa '62? And, what make you like one over the other?

I really love the look of the Circa '62 No. 3.

I just bought the studio select 1.5 b/c of the non flashy classy style that it has. It is by far the smoothest putter I have ever felt.

Yeah, that's the one I'd like to get in the future. Maybe as a Christmas present or something. I'll have to ask Santa. Either the 1.5 or 2. I can't decide yet I'll have to try both!!

I own both a studio select and a circa 62 #3. The studio select has a slight crisper sound (if that makes sense) but for the most part they feel very similar. The grip of the studio select does feel much better to me (full cord). But I like the way the black head of the circa 62 lines up to the ball. The 62 is in my bag. Find a place that sells SC putters and try both side by side.

actually I just demoed both the studio select and the circa 62 last week, I picked up a circa 62 because I liked the crisp sound of that compared to the softer sound of the studio select?

I did like the full chord grip better on the studio select .. I liked the appearance of the circa 62 with the curved top and high toe with the sight dot better as well.

I already regripped the circa 62 with a tigershark oversized grip as I like those better.

first round with it on saturday consisted of 28 putts ... my best putting round this year.. so scotty's staying in the bag :)

my old newport pro platinum milspec is going to the custom shop to get refinished so now I'll have two scotty's!
