Lets talk about error.

I find it interesting that a lot of times pro golfers will talk about what side to error on. Some of these things are if you going miss the swing plane on the backswing its better to be above it, or on the downswing underneath it.

Is it better to push the ball then to pull it? What about hitting thin vs fat. If you have to play with some margin of error is it better to lean towards one of these bad things? I suppose it changes obviously with the situation considering hazards etc....

I think it might be revealing that Tiger woods for instance will sometimes come from to far inside and push the ball out right or so I have read. What is he trying to do? I'm always at the range and I recently tried to do the same sort of thing, I couldn't, it was impossible for me, turns out I'm nowhere near coming to far from the inside. I mean I can slice it right obviously but I can't hit straight right without drastically closing my stance. Trying to do this seemed to progressively put my swing where it needed to be.

How many golfers on here suffer from a too far inside to out swing? Anyone? I have yet to see it on a course. I tried to get my friend to come as underneath plane as he possibly could, to where it seemed ridiculous and he was still about .5 inches above it, wierd.

What the pros are speaking of is the side of the green or fairway, not a swing flaw. Sometimes on a certain hole it might be nearly impossible to get up and down from the left side of the green so you will see all the players leave the ball out to the right. Basically they are speaking about what side of a hole to avoid.

No, I might have explained it badly I mean when you watch commentary of swing vision and they point out that someone is a little under plane but if your going to error thats how you would want to do it. I don't mean course management sort of issues.
