Over the years, I have collected over 1700 golf balls. Most are in playable condition, with only a small scuff or Sharpie mark. Some are even in perfect condition, looking like they have just come out of the box. I also have them sorted by brand and type. I have balls from every brand, but mainly Titleist, Top-Flite, Callaway, Nike, Wilson, and Pinnacle.

I am wondering how I should go about selling most of these for a profit (I haven't spent any money on getting them). I do want to keep about 100 though for my own play. Should I use one of the many used golf ball sites? Would Ebay be a good option? Or should I just sell them to my local country club or driving range?

if i were you and i wanted to sell them all i would ebay them, i would set the auction up as a price per ball, i.e. start at 20p or 35cents etc and bid up for 1600 balls or however many you wish to sell, people in uk often advertise them in local papers as its free - i think this would be most profitable route.

1700??? Are you kidding? Thats ridiculous.

I would try the eBay route. I would guess that most golfers at your country club already have ball, so they may not want to purchase any. You'd probably make more money on eBay selling the balls by the dozen than you would by selling the balls by the 100. Maybe try selling them on this site in the appropriate thread.

If it were me I would
Ebay them in sets of 50-100-150. Ship via USPS priority flat rate. Sell all the callaways togethers, pro v1s together, and other "premium" balls together. You could do them all seperatly, but no one is going to want to buy 100 maxflis for example, so just sell the non premium (most nikes, topflight ect.) in mixed lots. I would start the auction at about 35 cents a ball. Good luck!
