Nickent 3DX Square driver vs 907 D2

I am a high handicapper. On a good day low to mid 90's. My current driver is a Titleist 907 D2 10.5. I have read that Titleist are more designed for better players and a square head driver is more for high handicappers or recreational players. At times I hit my 907 D2 well and then at times I struggle. Was thinking about buying a Nickent square driver and was wondering if they are better for players like me.

I have several Nickent hybrids and really like them and they are some very good prices for them on the net. Thanks for the advice.

Any square driver is generally more forgiving than a traditionally shaped driver. You may lose some distance, but not much.

My dad plays the SQ2 and I have hit it. He plays a regular flex, but it's still a straight flying club. One of my friends plays a D2 (9.5* though). I liked it, but it was not as forgiving as my dad's driver. I could easily see how anyone could have a bad day with it. I'm a 14 and probably can't play it with much consistency. A 24 would have a really tough time. With most square drivers, however, your bad days won't be that bad.

Plus you can get Nickents and Nikes new for under $200. Used for under $100 in some cases. Check out globalgolf.com for some good deals. Try eBay as well (but be careful).

I think it would be beneficial for now for you to switch to a more forgiving driver, regardless of it is square or not. Maybe try the D1 if you like the feel.

i have the nickent driver
the face is 2 to 3 degree closed, FYI
if you are fighting a fade/slice, it can help
it's more forgiving because of its MOI. (less face twisting when hit off center)
if you put a good swing on it, you still can produce some long drives.

the important thing is to get fitted for a driver that suits your swing
you'll benefit a lot more than just buying drivers and drivers that don't work quite well

Thanks for the reply. I was actually thinking about the tour version which I heared was only 1 degree closed. My slice is not a big problem.
