Waynesville Inn, N.C. Anybody has been there?

Going to Asheville for a couple of days in September (Will play at Grove Park Inn). I have the opportunity to stay 3 more days and wanted to go somewhere else near Asheville.
I have seen the ads for Waynesville Inn which is only 45 min from Asheville.
Has anyone been there? Any other suggestions in the area?

Loking for a place to relax for a few days and play golf with my wife without spending a fortune.

Can't remember the name of the course, but check out Maggie Valley. It is a town about 40 minutes south of Asheville on the way down to Bryson City. I have been to Bryson City several times (not golfing). Lovely area. Nantahala Outdoor Center (rafting) is near there and this is a great day trip if you like that sort of thing. Dillsboro has a dinner train ride, mystery theater, etc.. type thing on certain nights. Just a great meal and entertainment. For golf, check the one in Maggie Valley. And if you like BBQ, be sure to eat at "Butts on the Creek" in Maggie Valley. Awesome restaurant for lunch or dinner. We go every time we pass through. Tiger is building "The Cliff" near Asheville. Might be under way now, not sure. It is near Asheville. Also, some big time (PGA level) instuctional facility is going in there also. Heard about it briefly on Golf Central this morning. Lots to see and do in the area. Heading to Bryson City in mid June myself. Pm if you have any specific questions not related to golf. Spent lots of time up there, unfortunately not playing golf while there.

My mother in law owns a bed and breakfast in the area that you can check out.

Trust me on the BBQ joint man. It is really unusually good. The restaurant sits in the woods along a creek. Pork butts, etc... "Butts on the Creek". Great place to eat. If you find time for a scenic drive and have a few hours, head south out of Bryson City towards Fontana Dam, keep heading that way and drive the Cherohala Scenic Highway. Google that for more info. Very expansive views along the NC/TN border. Take a picnic with you as there are some picnic tables at certain spots along the way. I think it gets up to 5,000+ feet and the views are great. Want a brief stoll through some heavily forested areas.. check out the Joyce Kilmer National Forest along the way to the Cherohala Scenic Hwy. You ride right by it on the way. Nice 1/2 hour to one hour hike along a well maintained trail. Up in Asheville, the Biltmore Estate is a must see if you have not been. Google that. Be sure to take a wine drinking tour at the winery. Top notch all the way with a brand new facility. Hourly tours, wine tastings, etc.. if you like wine, it is a must see. I will be in Bryson City for a week in mid June myself. Just a lovely area.
