I am just about to buy a new set of irons and I would like some feedback about which set might be better to take me into single digits. I've tried both of these irons out and can't decide which ones I like better. Also, I could only try out the six iron in each set at the store, so I don't really know how well the burner irons would actually tackle my distance gap issue. I believe the feel of the Mizuno irons is a little better, but I might be able to get a little more distance with the Burner irons because of the longer shafts. Has anyone played with these sets, and do you recommend one over another? Thanks for the feedback!

I have the Mizunos, and I'll tell you this: I've NEVER hit an iron better. I'm not an expert on the Burners, but why is iron distance important to you? If a 6-iron isn't long enough, then use the 5!!!! I just don't get people who are more concerned with distance than accuracy-especially with irons.

What's the goal of the game called golf? Getting the ball close to the hole AFTER you drive. Long drives ARE important, but then, it's all control and skill.

I'd rather thoot seventy-six with my Mizunos (and I have), then hit 84 with some other irons that carried farther!

Do you get it? If you want macho points, get the Taylormade; if you want good golf scores and the satisfaction of hittin crisp, smooth straight irons- go with the Mizuno.

Man if I would have known that I would have never bought Taylor Mades. I tell you what, I'm gonna go get some Mizunos and I will sell you my Burners. I thought practice was the key for good golf scores, crisp hits, and straight shots. Guess I should stop reading Golf Digest and watching the Golf Channel.

I hit the MP-52s and they are CLEARLY the only new iron I would even consider purchasing to replace my current MP-14s. Unfortunately, I don't have $1k to drop on irons, so I will be getting something used. Since I own two sets of Mizunos, MP-14s and GRAD MPs, I might be a little biased, though.

I have the Burner 09 irons and love them. Thought they felt great and I like the progressive design ideology behind them.

I'd say get whatever you like more. If it's a tie consider what will have better resale value. And thats probably the Taylor Mades.

i have the mizuno's and love them.. best feeling iron I have played, and I just switched from my hogan musclebacks.. I feel like the quality of shot is the same as the hogans, yet they are so much more forgiving when i do miss hit. i hit them about the same distance wise as the musclebacks maybe even a little farther. this is my first set of mizuno's and i can say i'll probably be a mizuno player for life.

Taylormade clubs have a resale value like yesterday's newspaper.

Just check out what you have to pay to get the Burner 08 irons.
