Has anyone else used these?

I recently made MASSIVE mistake!!! I bought a set of MX900's, 5-PW with 17 and 21 Degree Mizuno Hybrids, and all I can say is YUK. They didn't suit me at all, the 5 iron was so hard to use it almost never came out of my bag.

So, I decided to go back to supposed "player's" clubs. THe place I got them from wanted silly money to trade up to the MP60's, so I went to my local golf shop just around the corner from work and they had a set of Tour Stage Z101's - the last ones they had - going for a really good price $950 NZ Dollars. Basically it cost me next to nothing to trade which I did without even testing them.

And what a beautiful iron they are. A great flight and the softest feel I've ever had in a golf club. I used to have a set of Hogan FTX's which were soft, but these are even softer - great feedback, fantastic workability.

I was getting pretty distraught with my golf game until I changed to these. They've given me fresh enthusiasm and I've just started on a really good practise regime ready for Club Champs.

I would recommend anyone to try the new Bridgestone J33's - basically the same company and the combo set they make are very similar to the Z101's and I'd definately have got those if they didn't have these at such a good price.

Xt1ncT,

Bridgestone / TourStage / Precept makes some of the best irons anywhere. The z101's are outstanding clubs.

I really hope Bridgestone makes it in the United States, especially with the upcoming cast cavity game improvement clubs. It's such a crowded market, but they really have a lot of pride in their products and the design is second to none.

They just need for everyone else to understand that.

THey are just beginning to get a bit of a foothold here in NZ, the only problem that I see is that the likes of TaylorMade/Mizuno/Callaway spend so much more on marketing here than anyone else it's difficult for others to get a foothold.

Ping are huge here as well, but don't need to spend the type of money the others do as the name is so well known.

I love the z101's and hope the J33 combo's are a success as they look fantastic.

Can you give me any suggestions on where to get a set in the U.S?

Do you know Cedric Henry?

A friend of mine on tour plays with the z101.

I was going to buy a new set of 'Tour Edge' forged irons but now that I know about the Tour Stage I will check them out.

TourStage is well known as one of the best forged clubs manufacturer in Japan comparable to Titleist here in the US. However, I haven't heard nor seen the Z101 model yet. Anyway, do check this

site out because they specialize in selling other Japanese clubs besides TourStage and they ship worldwide too. Hope this helps.

Stack System’s marketing materials inflate apparent swing speed and distance gains through selective presentment of data without qualification that purported gains are not the result, in whole or part, of its training protocol and products. * Yes, I'm joking about abbreviating both "SS." SuperSpeed wants: A judgment that the Stack System has disseminated false and/or misleading information in violation of federal and Illinois law. The deletion of all false advertising distributed and recall of all packaging containing false advertising and a requirement that Stack System issue notices (written or otherwise) to that effect to all current distributors and retailers of its products and all distributors with whom Stack System has done business in the past eighteen months. Written confirmation within 30 days of an injunction detailing the manner and form in which Stack System has complied. An order that Stack System disseminate corrective advertising informing consumers, the trade, and the public of Stack System’s unlawful conduct. 3X all profits received by Stack System as a result of its unlawful actions. 3X all damages sustained by SuperSpeed (as a result of Stack System’s actions) The cost of the action All reasonable attorney fees All other relief to which SuperSpeed are entitled and such other or additional relief as just and proper. Oy.
    • I'm not doing this for the hundred and twentieth time. Sorry in advance, but you get the massively abridged version. Those guys also benefited from the weaker/shallower fields. Also, Watson's career doesn't overlap with Jack's like many think it did. Tom is nearly a decade younger. Jack won only like four majors only after Tom won his first. And Tom won more British Opens than he did all three of the other majors combined, as it was his specialty (not Jack's). Arnie's career similarly doesn't overlap Jack's as much as many think.   Jack would also tell you Tiger was the better golfer.
    • Weaker depth of fields for sure. Some of the top level guys with Jack were pretty awesome. Tom Watson had the lead on the 72nd hole of the 2009 British Open, an event where Tiger missed the cut. Old Tom was almost 60 years old. Jack himself at age 58 finished Top 10 at The 1998 Masters and scored better than Tiger, who won The Masters by 12 shots just a year before that.   The success of both Tom & Jack in older age gives some hope that maybe Tiger can find the magic again at some point. He’s still trying to figure out how to build the stamina for 72 holes after the leg injury. I would love to see him jump on the leaderboard in the coming years. I know a lot of people have given up on him at this point, but that was also true from 2014 to 2017 with the back injuries. He had a hell of a resurgence in 2018 & 2019. Would be fun to see it again.
    • Perceptive rules question by caddie unlocks Tour pro’s ‘dead zone’ relief A perceptive rules question by Xander Schauffele’s caddie, Austin Kaiser, unlocked “dead zone” relief during the Wells Fargo Championship.
    • I ran across an interesting new clip, Johnson Wagner went into that spot with the Referee who allowed the relief.  Apparently there was a perfectly reasonable shot to be made, as Johnson clearly demonstrated, so relief from the TIO was perfectly appropriate.
