taking my driving from range to course!!

ive been range recently with my driver and can honestly say ive been nailing the ball long and straight on the range at various targets but when i get on the tee box im all over the place!!! cant understand it! when im on range i manage to get good shoulder turn and follow through yet when i get on tee box i end up casting or stack and tilting causing a slice!! can anyone suggest anything to help me!!!?

My 2 cents! On the range you aren't worried about the outcome of your swing, you are just worried about the process. You are relaxed and you swing free because you know that swing doesn't "count", you have another ball to hit, and so on.

At least that is my story, I find I can take my driving range swing to the course when I don't worry about were the ball ends up, just that I make a good swing and send it in the direction I had intended.

Do not take your driving on the range to the course... Actually do quite the opposite. Take your driving on the course to the range. When you are at the range, visualize the holes that give you the most trouble driving. Concentrate as if you were standing on that tee. Think of everything you could possibly do wrong... and hit, and hit, and hit, and hit... until you hit them well.

Guess what will happen next time you really are on that tee...

Please don´t swing while I´m talking !!

      Day 549, May 4, 2024 After lessons and working with Natalie, hit some balls for awhile. Just backswing stuff. Forgot about the slightly shorter stuff, though I'm sure it was as they were only about 75% speed with brief pauses.

      I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
