Titleist 755 vs Nike pro combo forged

Hi guys . I am now a 15 handicapper and play high 70s . I am currently playing my old ancient lynx master model blades which give me very little forgiveness as they are and frankly i'm getting bored with them . :D
I have my eye on a set of Nike pro combo forged irons; the ones which start out as cavities and work towards musclebacksand eventually blades.also included are a set of Titleist forged 755 irons :XD
Now i know u guys are gonna say to try them out and pick the set which feels better so i've already gone ahead and done that. Both irons feel exactly the same and give the same distance and spin and loft. Except that the shaft of the nike's is thicker at the grip end as compared to the clubhead end. whereas the titleist shft is sort of same throughout. what that means is that on the nikes the grip is larger in diameter as compared to the 755's . Both have the same length give or take a 1 cm or so. Need ure input as to which one to buy. Any comments wud be highly appreciated. :D

Well the shafts are going to both be tapered meaning that they will start skinny and get bigger toward the butt. Trust me, the titleist shaft is not the same from head to grip. Wilson tried that with the fat shaft and failed miserably. I myself have a set if 755, but i upgraded shafts and put some dynamic black gold shafts in. My vote is going to be for the 755s

Re: Titleist 755 vs Nike pro combo forged

I really enjoyed the Pro Combos when I played them. It was cheaper for me to get a set of used Titleist 735CMs than to re-shaft them or I would've kept playing them. Good feel, though I liked the 735CMs better...

I would probably go with the 775s, all else being equal. But, in the end, I would go with the better buy. So, if you won't have to reshaft the Pro Combos but would have to reshaft the 775s I would buy the Pro Combos unless you just flat out prefer the 775s.

Thnx fr the input guys. Appreciate it.
I got a pros input on the clubs i was chasing and after having him look at my swing he completely ruled out the pro combos. Said they were really difficultto hit so thats that for the nikes . not gonna argue with him.
He gave me his cg gold to hit and wow i was impressed with that. so i am now on the lookout fr a set of cleveland cg red or gold irons. Thank u pro :D
As for the titleist's it was still better feeling than the clevelands but then again he preffered the clevelands. i know what ure gonna say that i shuldnt let his choice overpower mine but i'm gonna take his advice and take the cg's. Still gonna play a few rounds beore any decisions are made. :D

Why in the world would you play a club that doesn't feel as good to you just because someone says you should?

what i meant to say was that the titleist are slightlybetter feeling than the cg's. Not really a great deal of difference except for on the slight mishits on which i actually prefer the cg. still im gonna play a few rounds with both of them before making my decision.
