Does anyone have this done? Is there a noticeable difference? Do name brand clubs off the rack come like this or do you have to get it done?

my buddy competes in LDA, and pures all his shafts. For him I can understand, those guys are looking for every inch. For the average everyday golfer I am not too sure if you would really see the difference.

All of my clubs (save my putter I suppose) have been spine aligned. Can't say for sure if I've noticed a difference or not. I had them built this way from the very start.

If you want to believe Ralph Maltby, he says the "better" shaft manufacturers have, since "puring" became a buzz word, increased the quality of their shafts to the point where its not needed. Not so for the cheap ones. YMMV.
