I currently have a R9(not the 460) that I play with and like it pretty well. I found a Burner Super Fast on Ebay yesterday that was just too cheap to pass up(the guy was quitting golf and didn't really know how to market clubs). So anyways, I bought it and I'm looking forward to hitting it, if I don't like it I will have no trouble getting my money back. Just wondering if anybody had any experience with the two of them and which one they preferred. Thanks

Bought a Superfast, and couldn't it at all.. the shaft was like 48 or 52 grams or something.. too light for me (106mph swing speed). pulling it every time.

Demo'd a R9 tp (with the Fuji 65 gram shaft), and same natural swing, problems gone. straight with a slight fade)

just my experience.. not that I have a pretty swing or anything though :)

While I was getting my driver fitted last week, I tried out the Superfast for fun and man...what a boom stick. My swing speed is at roughly 115 and I was getting roughly 10 yards more on average, long and straight.
From what I hear and read, the added length to the shaft and weight of the shaft certainly doesn't make it the easiest driver to control but if you have a good driver swing, it bombs balls like nobodys business.

From the reviews I've read it sounds like the club is almost designed for a slower swing....

its light and long so it can be beneficial for slower swingers in increasing distance. However, that comes with a disadvantage which si that lighter and longer shafts are harder to control. I think this driver would be perfect in the hands of someone who has a good swing but is looking to add some distance.

I was in the same situation as you. I had the Callaway X460 driver and always wanted the Super Fast but didn't want to pay the price. Then I found on on EBay at an absolute STEAL. I took it to the range and fell in love. My problem with driving is I try to kill the ball every time. My problem was when I tried to kill the ball with the Callaway club I ended up hitting a poor drive. I found myself doing that from time to time at the range but the results were much better. Once I made myself not kill the ball I was blown away with the performance. I know its not a comparison to the R9 but I just wanted to give you my point of view.

    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
    • Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
    • Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
