I have searched and found many threads with info and some that say there should be a full review of the flightscope soon can't find it. My question I am going to buy a launch monitor for helping myself and teaching my son so it won't be for making money just personal use. I'm looking at the Vector pro and the flightscope prime, I know the trackman is the best but it is hard to justify that much money, what does anyone think of the others? If you were going to buy which one would you get and why. Thanks for any help.

You can justify $8k for a Flightscope for you and your son to use, though?

We've not had much chance to do the FS review. It's still planned, though.

Iacas, yes I can justify 9k for the flightscope but am wondering if it is that much better than the Vector pro. Is it more accurate ect. Can you give me your quick thoughts on the flightscope. Thanks

I think it's worth it, yeah. It's very fairly priced. But the last 20% of the functionality is 80% of the cost in machines like this...

But here's what I'd do if I were you - look at the market for a used Vector Pro. If they still sell for a good rate buy one, use it, and then sell it if you don't like it. Or you may end up keeping it.

So the Vector pro is the way to go?

yea check ebay for used ones. Usually the only people who would spend 9 grand on something like that is a business who makes money off of it and needs it for their customers. It might be better to find a place who has one and pay to use it. Those things cost the price of a decent used vehicle, lol.

I'm not worried about the 9k for the flightscope if it is that much better than the Vector pro, I was looking for reviews and opinions from first hand use if possible. I will look for a vector and give it a try unless there are any other opinions. Thanks

$9000 will buy a whole lot of range balls and lessons. Hell, even a Wii with A Tiger Woods game would make more sense then dropping 9k but it's your money.

Ive used vector pro's for a fair while when do fittings. They are great!

Im also looking at buying a second hand Vector Pro, they have been seeling for Min 800$ US on Ebay and about 2500$ max.

Ive talked it over with my golf coach and they said it would be worth while buying one since I do lots of practise and since it's winter down here and it's been raining and alot of courses are closed because of all the rain. Ill wait for one to go cheep and then it;s mine :P

    • Day 133 (25 Apr 24) - Worked with the Divot Board today added a piece of cardboad behind the ball to help reinforce ball first contact. Contact improved through the round.   Added grandson's football goal posts about 10yds out to add a good start line visual Good session today.
    • Day 120: 4/25/24 Full Speed Spectrum training session. Low energy today and my speed was lower than normal. Will see what I can do on Saturday.
    • Day 541, April 25, 2024 Ten minutes after lessons. Still not caught up, but should be by tomorrow evening.
    • Playing irons only may lead to some short-term gains, but you'll want to at least practice with the driver if you ultimately have some decently good goals.
    • He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
