Kind of fuzzy, but any comments would be great! I've been really struggling with a shank sometimes as well as a really bad fade with my driver. WOOPS i forgot about the thread name, SORRY!

You bring the club too far inside on the backswing, try to get the club parallel with that shaft in front of your feet. You also have a high, fade finish. Also, try posting a front on picture to help us see everything in your swing. Hope this helps

A high finish is an attempt to send the path to the right and is representative of a draw. Someone who swings left hard through impact is a slicer/fader and has a low finish through the swing.

A lot of good or better players will have a high finish as they uncock the club and try to send the path to the right as much as possible.

So I'll go to the range and film my swing again soon with the takeaway being straighter.

More swings today: I tried feeling like I was taking the club straight back. This way, I didn't turn my hands open in the takeaway. I hit draws a LOT, some really bad pull/hooks though. Maybe about 20 percent were fades. I can't really control this shot, however. Driver was so crappy - I'm losing so much power and I'm fading it still.

Help please? I went to the range today and I was drawing or chunking my irons (most of them were decent), but my driver was still absolutely horrible. Fades and only going like 70-80 percent of my full potential. BLEGH!

Post a video from the front if you can. There are a couple things worth mentioning from the DTL video, but it would be good to see impact position too. When you play, where are your divots relative to the ball and your stance?

Usually I don't have divots, but lately I've been getting a bit more compression so I'm getting divots. Though I haven't been paying attention to where they are. I had a match today and I did pretty good with my irons. I was compressing it really well. However, my driver was still bad.
