Hi guys,

Looking for a quick fix or tip to help prevent me taking a large divot with my fairway wood. I would post a video for you, but I don't have any up to date swings recorded.
I was at the range hitting my new to me Titleist 3 wood, and I didn't realise how shallow the face was when I bought it. I did actually sky it - could have been due to the fact it was very dark outside with no lighting, but it was probably my swing.
Anyways, a quick tip or fix would be much appreciated, maybe from some of you low handicappers.

:D

I don't have an extremely upright swing either, so I don't believe I am coming in to steep.

Nto a low capper but I dont think a divot is a bad thing with a fairway wood. Going by 2 things. I've seen pros take divots with fairway woods and hit great shots and my best fairway wood shots always result in a sizable divot. Sometimes larger then I would with an iron. Maybe I'm not seeing your true dilemna but I dont think a divot is a problem. There may be other problems though

Be very conscious on your backwing if you're head is moving up and then on the downswing compensating for it. Don't overswing and let the wood do the work.
