hello!

i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a after market Driver shaft similair to the Fujikura Rombax 6W06 X-stiff. I am trying to check some new shafts out. I prefer lighter shafts but still extra stiff. Anyone have any recomendations for a shaft with spec similair to this one. I prefer lower ball flight, low spin. I will be putting it in a 909 D3 9.5*. I appreciate your ideas and help. Thanks!

When I went to the Maltby Clubfitting School last Oct..the instructors were raving about the Arthur Xtreme Engineering (AXE)Xcaliber Shafts, They were best shafts that Maltby had tested-bar none at any price. Either the Tour Graphite TS or the Xcaliber 7 TS would be great for you. I just ordered the Xcaliber 6 to put in my Nickent Evolver.

Launch monitor results from the Project X graphite shafts are about as good as it gets when it comes to low flight and low spin. I'd recommend the 6.5 version. However, some people don't like the feel so you may want to take that into consideration.

That said, why don't you just get a 6W06?

Hope that helps.

Not sure where you were looking but here are several links with new 6W06 shafts:

http://www.victorycustomgolf.com/products/186/shafts/fujikura-rombax-6w06.aspx

http://golfshaftdeals.com/product/fujikura-rombax-6w06-131.cfm

http://myclubmaker-com.securec5.hostek.net/product/fujikura-rombax-6w06-131.cfm

You can also call Fujikura directly and ask them what shaft would be similar.

Good luck.
