I am looking into buying a new driver. Which one of these would you pick and why? I am trying to find a driver that isn't too awfully expensive, but performs very well so any other reccomendations are accepted.

In my Nike Xtreme Carry Lite II Bag:

Driver: Cleveland Hibore XLS 9.5
Fairway Wood:Nike DyMo2 4 wood
Hybrid:Nickent 3dx DC ironwood 3hIrons: Taylormade Burner Plus 4-AWPutter: Yes! TiffanyShoes: Footjoy Greenjoys

I chose "OTHER" and suggest the PING G15. What I pick may not be the best for you. I could love a driver but the next person may detest it.

I don't hit my Diablo Edge driver as well as I do my FT-9, though that could be because the FT-9 is an iMix, and I have a better shaft on it.  I never hit the R9, so I can't compare.  The Diablo Edge driver is very forgiving and a great driver, but I get more distance and accuracy with the FT-9 so I haven't used it as much.  I have the Diablo Edge 3W and that is my favorite wood,  I hit that straight and almost as far as my drivers.  It's the one wood that has never left my bag.

Best thing to do is hit both side by side and see which works best for you.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I would nominate the Cleveland Monster xls driver.  Incredibly long and very forgiving.  I have been hitting the Diablo edge and just can not get comfortable with it. It is relatively forgiving, but I just can't get the distance out of it that I get from my Monster or even the old G5........Hit a friend's Wilson Smooth recently....that is a nice, simple looking driver and it is both forgiving and long in my hits with it!   It can also be had for a song these days.  Good luck

    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • Hence your Avatar!😜 I drink a lot of water during the day if I’m playing or exercising. I get cramps otherwise.
    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
    • This isn't some kind of natural fact. It's a lot more complicated than this implies.
